trust me when i say that whether you are good or evil you will get the same treatment. Except if you're canadian... we don't like those. Seriously, it's true. Whenever I log on as DM I make an effort to jumb around to all the players on at the time. I watch all of them for a few mins, and if I see something I like, I return and stick around near that group for a while. Keep in mind though, if I see too much ooc chatting and ooc behaviour, you're not getting a darn thing.

I read through this entire topic and I have nothing to add. ...hehe...except, I really haven't run into any problems with the DM's, they all seem to be periodically adequate in running adventures. ...and I might not say so constantly, since I don't want to be seen as an @$$ k1$$, (take that DM Munroe! j/k, j/k,) that I really do appreciate all of the efforts of DM Justicar and the others in making Cormyr fun to play in, and actually listen to and entertain all of the player's suggestions. Thanks guys.

Just out of curiousity, does anyone read "Knights of the Dinner Table"? That comic totally delves into the depths of how players and DM's should interact.
I'm a tad bit new myself but from what I've seen the DM's are pretty good. When I used to DM PNP campaigns I was always treated to the us versus him attitude. As one who has been on both sides of the curtain I can honestly say it depends on the situation.

I've been here for several months now, and I must say I've always had good experiences with the DM's... except that HackMaster guy... he's a jerk In all seriousness though folks, the entire DM team is top notch. Even when I've made a boo boo *cough*private moments not making it into tells*cough* I've always received nothing but gentle persuasion and some generally hilarious RP. I don't know why members of the DM team would feel as though they're forced to be *the bad guy* simply because they're enforcing the rules... we all know the rules, we know the consequences for breaking them. Stand strong DMs it's for the good of the server... if I receive a tell from a DM that appears to be worded strongly then I know I've done something I shouldn't have and I try to correct it. That said I've never really received such and what I have received has always spelled out EXACTLY what I did wrong. The DMs rock... stay the course, the players support you!

I would just like to say that many times I know that I may need to change, but why is it that there is not always interaction with someone new? I have noticed that it is ard to start a new character unless they are at the NEAR DEATH marking. I also have noticed that many people just don't care. In fact, sometimes I see people just running around some place without a chance to tell them to not run. But now that the password is in, it is less likely. But there are still events in which we the player need to take a lot of responsibility in order to lighten the DM load.
Recently, I have been trying to be better at interacting with the server, but many times when I see something wrong, I ask for a DM, but alas! Many times there is nobody on. I just wish that there were more interaction with the little guys as well, just because it seems that since there are the high level characters together, that they think they can ignore the little guy!
DM's DO something about this! If people do not get to know others, they won't rp that well. In fact I have had to wait several days with one of my characters just in order to meet people.
On another account, I find some things that need more work on the DM side. I just seem to not get much interaction. The last I can remember was the "hooded man" but where did he go? I am just saying how I feel... I know some people like to ruin things, but if that is true, then get those people out. I just come on sometimes to get an interaction, but the only one I get any interaction with is Artaen.
Oh and one other thing... Off topic a little: I can't get a new computer or a new motherboard for my laptop to play NWN2 for a while, so what will happen to the people like me?

I just want to throw this out there....don't depend on dm interaction for your character to go somewhere. Look at DM interaction as a bonus. I just go on to rp with other players and if a dm just happens to pop by YAY! if not, im still chillin with everyone else. And again, things will balance out. You'll get your load of dm attention just as everyone else does. I just seems that how things work out here. I can go ages without seeing a dm then all of a sudden you'll get loads of attention and then a little break again.
