Do we have an agreement on the overall basics we ought to know? Where did everyone meet up? it looks like, from what I've seen that most of us came from different palces, then some met up in Waterdeep and went to Cormyr. I'm curious if there was some kind of justification and explanation for that, or if the groups overall goals are simply "lets go kill monsters, (and see who doesn't make it)". Perhaps we should meet up somewhere, and talk all of this out OOC tomorrow, and get some actual details sorted out. There are still things that are unanswered, that ought to be sorted before we actually start to RP and play. An official decision/vote/whatever on how we would like to do the Permadeath would be nice, too. We've got ideas from "if you die and don't get a raise, you die" to maximum amounts of raise scrolls per session, and "raises later on, afterward, once body is found." --- I personally would go for the whole "Once you hit that respawn button, you're dead. RIP." Also it should be made note of HOW someone dies, and If a raise dead scroll would really work, if someone was turned into slices of melty cheese. Am I correct in thinking that we should maintain the same sort of level, and generally make an effort not to overdo things on the Ironman character, but non-xp gaining RP is okay on them? There was mention of a group name, did we get that? Did we decide if there was a leader, or a few leaders, or how that was going to work? if there are any other questions, can we get them down, so we can either have them answered here, or discuss them in game tomorrow in the first session? - Creasus I was actually hoping we could sought these things out when we gather online.. it seems like it has been losing interest to write on this thread to finis up these lose ends.

Vindur Ma'fer a wildling among the elves. Moving away from his homeland and trekking through the desolate forest was hard for Vindur. The trees burnt and the ground singed by fire and brimstone, a mages playground. His spear prodding the ground with each step as if hopefully the last among these woods. There be new woodlands but not lavish like these, not protected like these. His sack grew heavy and his legs worn but he pressed on toward the edge of the forest. the road was there, the people were there. Not his people but a new life not like his old. the wagons had passed by quickly...an elf was no concern to travellers heading out by caravan. The two rabbits dangling from his neck struck a wagoneer as a tidy meal later that night and a lift was what Vindur needed. He reach out and took a hand and climbed aboard. The tenth annual games were here and the wagons the supplies. He had no chance in such foolish games but many folks would be there, many looking for lost souls to hire, perhaps his skills would be of use to someone....

Ok we have the first 5 players in game already with their PCs all ready... Please post here if you cannot make it for the first group, with a reason why. So far we've decided: - Cadmorn was met in Daggerford by the Waterdeep party which remained after the arena event. Cadmorn is giving last rites to an old man who has died of old age. He spent the last week comforting the old man before his death, and has consoled the family after his passing. He signs on with the group when they decide to guard a caravan.

We've successfully run the first IRONMAN group. Around 700xp was gained. The Bronze Fists managed to clear out two vermin infestations and help Sam the Cook retrieve his key.

maybe we could create a new thread for this titled The Bronze Fists, to keep logs of what we've accomplished and to keep track of our characters progression. After today, we should all be lvl 1's with 800-900xp total...

This is just going to be an experience /gold haul and after a few months interest will be lost in it. Learn to RP and stop being so cliquey. LOL I have opinions on what is takes to make a successful player group. They were formed by playing in 6 different groups, one which lasted over 18 months of meeting at least weekly. I am now forming my third player group here on FRC. IMHO there is one over riding factor that makes or breaks a player run group. That is the desire of the players to make it work. While I am not a member of this group, I applaud their efforts. Would you kindly consider sharing what your opinions are based upon? Have you RP with any of the players involved?

Uni is starting back up, so I've got to muster some will power and do some actual work
Deke Mathews was discovered in his room with his throat cut, assume whatever he was running from finally caught up with him.

Seeing as six members (at least) will not be making it, we will be postponing this group to Sunday, February 2nd. (Unless the consensus is unanimous that we wait another two weeks...)

Guys, I've got too many irons in the fire, IRL and game-wise both. I think I need to step out of the Ironman project.
My apologies, I hate to do it, but I think there really is no other way about it.

I won't be watching the Super Bowl except to check the score, since the hated Chickenhawks beat my Niners to get there. @gainreduction, one of the reasons there are so many injuries in the NFL is exactly because of all that body armor, lol. Players launch themselves at each other like missiles because of all that "protection". If they dressed like rugby players or Australian football players, you'd see more lost teeth and broken noses, but a lot fewer concussions and horrific looking injuries.
