Where are we on the group concept, guys? Are we evil? Merc band? Where do we come from and why are we in Cormyr? I would like more background stuff before fleshing out my character. Good question. Hopefully soon. I'm still stuck between Dwarf and Half-Orc. ...or I just may go Human Fighter.

Alright people.. here is the roster for the playing time of Sunday 06:00-08:00 PST (Sunday 14:00-16:00 GMT) This is a start time we should be able to go for 3 - 4 hours this is an experiment and if people like this idea as we go on when people start dieing there is always new group that can be made on other times so other people can try it out Creasus: Quelunia: magiuss: Malleus: Gainreduction: Grozer: Miss kitty: lucesi Death and reaper: Sharauvyn: Hansel Raneerandur: ID10Tango: Dazz555: Mr_industrialpants: Sadly Iangallowglas and Kelitayu weren't able to make it at this times.. being 15 out of 17 im pretty impressed that 15 were able to make it at the same times though. So we have now reached the background story for the group, if any one has a good Suggestion that would be cool.. I don't know how to make such a Vote thingy. where people could vote on evil/good/neautral/ mercenary ban/adventurering band.. anyone know how to do that ?.. and we can see what most people wih to play. I do how ever see that 3-4 people suggested that they play Paladins.. so perhaps we are heading towards a neutral/ honorable adventuring band.

Oh and I would like to ask if someone Would volunteer to become the ''leader'' of the group and the next in command.. ever adventuring band has one. cause The people who wants to take on this roll Pretty much has the background storie of Why the band was put together and set in t the world and for what reson.. as I stated in a earlier post I have no interest in becoming a leadng figure off the band. my Toon storie (will post soon) was a bandit, who band was killed trying to Rob this group, surrendering if they spared him, swearing a bloodoath to stay and serve the best interest of the Band earning their trust over many years of traveling with them proving to be a useful member

My suggestion is not the dictate the alignment and focus on what brings the group together. However I would like to find an overall theme that brings us together be something that doesn't force a certain type of PC or alignment if that makes sense. Personally, a diversity across the PCs could present some awesome RP possibilities. So I happen to like the mercenary angle without the "honorable" component. Just to be blunt at this point I don't think I will be making an evil PC but I also don't think we should go with theme which would exclude an evil PC. Now a villain, troublemaker or prohibited faith probably shouldn't be within bounds but I am on the fence about that... The PC background I am developing is a ranger that is a hunter type. I dont think he will be a Malarite but that is an option I am keeping on the table at the moment. I am leaning towards a follower of Hoar and he does not hunt animals. I would prefer not too give too much away about his background and what I am coming up with would be interesting (completely my opinion of course could be boring to others) to reveal as it unfolds in game and with RP. Assuming he doesn't perm before all that! LOL I will throw out the idea that the group comes together as soldiers of Hoar but of course that is because my PC is likely going down that path. Anyway... I'm pretty flexible and open to most ideas and just wanted to get this conversation started.

I think a focus would be nice. What are the odds of a group with a paladin and an assassin, for example, not making past the first few sessions? What sort of group could possibly bring these two kind of characters together.

If we start at 0600 PST then I can play for 4 hrs no problem.
I have to be offline no later than 1000 PST
One idea: We met (or some of us met) in Waterdeep during the fall festival. We fought in groups of 4-6 in the arena to varying degrees of success.
Hey Grozer I was also thinking about following Hoar if I rolled a Human Fighter.

I can set up the poll, and do a leader thing if you guys want, now that finals are over. I kinda want to relax tonight, though. I'll make the poll in a little bit. Been staring at paper, fine print, or a screen for the past four or five days solidly, so my eyes are pretty shot.

Cadmorn Andrews of Kelemvor Backstory: Cadmorn Andrews became a faithful to Kelemvor when a travelling Knight of the Eternal Order, Joffrey, came through Ironspur in Damara. Cadmorn was apprentice to his father, the farrier. He met Ser Joffrey whilst reshoeing Joffrey's mount after Ser Joffrey had been waylaid by Vaasan ogres in the Galena mountains. Joffrey was looking for initates at the time, and Cadmorn was suited to the order. Joffrey asked Mr Andrews Senior permission to relinquish Cadmorn from his farrier's apprenticeship, and Mr Andrews said there was no greater honour. Ser Joffrey and Cadmorn rode out into the west via Bloodstone Pass, where Joffrey trained Cadmorn in the ways of Kelemvor's teachings. Since then, Cadmorn has been made an official initiate of the Eternal Order. He is a devout follower, and is one of the cheeriest followers of Kelemvor there is. He enjoys humour, and being from a mining village, he gets along with dwarves very well. Cadmorn is a natural with the bastard sword, and champions the cause of Kelemvor, seeking out undead and vanquishing them.

SO far we have 6 Melee fighter type toons.. 1 pure healer and 1 pure archer.. anyone feeling like a caster type.. cleric or mage.. a rouge or 2 could be usefull aswell

Do we have an agreement on the overall basics we ought to know? Where did everyone meet up? it looks like, from what I've seen that most of us came from different palces, then some met up in Waterdeep and went to Cormyr. I'm curious if there was some kind of justification and explanation for that, or if the groups overall goals are simply "lets go kill monsters, (and see who doesn't make it)".
Perhaps we should meet up somewhere, and talk all of this out OOC tomorrow, and get some actual details sorted out. There are still things that are unanswered, that ought to be sorted before we actually start to RP and play.
An official decision/vote/whatever on how we would like to do the Permadeath would be nice, too. We've got ideas from "if you die and don't get a raise, you die" to maximum amounts of raise scrolls per session, and "raises later on, afterward, once body is found."

I personally would go for the whole "Once you hit that respawn button, you're dead. RIP."
Also it should be made note of HOW someone dies, and If a raise dead scroll would really work, if someone was turned into slices of melty cheese.
Am I correct in thinking that we should maintain the same sort of level, and generally make an effort not to overdo things on the Ironman character, but non-xp gaining RP is okay on them?
There was mention of a group name, did we get that?
Did we decide if there was a leader, or a few leaders, or how that was going to work?
if there are any other questions, can we get them down, so we can either have them answered here, or discuss them in game tomorrow in the first session?
