Is there any source material on how assassin spell casting actually works?
We all know Bioware botched it horribly, but in PnP, they get spontaneous spell casting similar to sorcerers and bards, but their casting stat is intelligence, like wizards... so, yeah. I haven't been entirely sure how to play it.

I haven't been entirely sure how to play it. Easy enough. Assassins use INT to determine their bonus spells and spell levels known. They learn the spells, committing them to memory. But assassins cast spells like a bard does, meaning they have a very small collection of spells they know (that they have learned) but they know them all the time and don't prepare them from a book. They just have to pick which one of their known spells that they're casting.

Great, thanks for the response. Just the sort of thing I was looking for.
