well....does anyone have thoughts on how i played Guldar Caverholme and Gondegal, sometimes called Wolf Egal? My other pcs were pretty minor but these two were my major and i often wonder, did they seem belivable? did people enjoy them or did they detract from the game?

"Wolf" was cool ... right from the start. A natural leader .... and a great antagonist.
Guldar .... hrm .... without Guldar ... there would be no Beloril. It was from Guldar that Bel learned how to better deal with merchants along with how to set traps and such. It is because of Guldar that he's still loath to harm a bear. Guldar and Helgrin together showed Bel as well that other races need not be automatically disdained just due to their birth. The few dwarves Bel had met prior to that seemed always to just bully him for being an elf ..... not those two though. Even as Guldars appearances grew sparcer .... the stories of his adventures as told by Helgrin and others continued to enthral and motivate myself and others to greater heights. After Guldar returned from his long absense ... he also showed me it doesn't matter what level you are ... a foe is a foe ... I remember him and Ranan standing in the middle of the road in Isinhold .... and my money was on Guldar even though Ranan was a far higher level by then. But ... as was the case that day ... he also showed that just because someone is an enemy .... doesn't mean that blood will be shed each time you meet. All in all .... Guldar more than anyother single PC here has influenced Bel ..... and a few of my less played PC's also.
Miss ya Moul ....

Every dwarf that says Stone Brudda has been influenced by Guldar
I know Helgrin was hugely influenced by Guldar. And I as a player as well.
Helgrin didnt become the overall merchant he is now until Guldar went back to Mithral Hall (your trip to that wonderful sandbox called Iraq) and at first is was just to keep the idea of the dwarven merchant in peoples head. ow of course I think the words Helgrin and merchant pretty much go hand in hand since that is al he really does now and that wouldnt be with Guldar.
You always knew what Guldar would do becuase he stayed true to the character he was. Even if it meant going against what was happening.
I miss me stone brudda I does. Out of anyone.. Helgrin would have followed Guldar to the hells..

I so rarely get to play with them that I don't really have an opinion. Although, I do remember running into Gondegal at the very beginning when I started playing...once or twice. Then I never saw him again. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

Same as Heather... I had played with Guldar maybe twice, as Rigrin... not enough to really judge, but I had enjoyed those interactions they had.

Well as Grimnir I remember touring the Stone Lands with Helgrin and Guldar. Ahhh three dwarves in tunnels killing orcs and drinking triple. I miss Guldar. Grimnir misses him quite a bit as there really aren't too many that are friendly in the mines. I also seem to remember the ferocity that Guldar had to the duergar that Grimnir captured. Very believable!
