Hey guys.. I've gotten some feedback from alot of people in game about Ents Character, and this is my First Roleplay server, and I'm trying woot!. I know I'm not a huge DND person, just a big FR novel fan. But I'd like to know what people think about him his actions, reflections. I know alot of folk on the server, and I try to kept ent.. civil no matter who I'm talking to. heh which makes him a people pleaser at times. But I play him close to my heart, and such..
anyways Enough Rambling from the wizard. comments.. and also, I'd like some feedback from the other wizards to comment on how 'wizardly' he is. I know I can't pull off the magcial BS that comes out of Thyrms mouth that I throughly enjoy. but I try. and I'd like to thank all those users who pretend not to understand what I say... or actually don't due to my poor grammar skills.
anyways ... feedback!
//p,s, not trying to mimic Aria's user or jimkaff.. but I like the idea of getting peoples reactions.

I like Ent. I think he is the only other mage that respects Zae. ;D Nah. Seriously, I did not spent to much time with Entori till now, but I liked what I saw. Would not have guessed this is your first RP server. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) ... and don't worry about the magical BS. Actually, avoid it. It will just make everyone think you're slightly nuts (and uh... adorable *coughs*). Trust me, I know what I'm talking about. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

On the magic stuff... meh, I know I wing it with Aria. I also know that I've taking up roleplaying memorizing spelsl as chanting them to memory since I cannot concevably RP sleeping for 8 hours in a dungeon 2 or 3 times to get through it with some groups... so, basically... do what works for you until a DM corrects you. I cover allot of Aria's inconsistancies by simply putting out there that she 1.) is a natural spell caster that has chosen to study and 2.) Is mostly self-taught... so that tends to cover when I bump into others that do it a certain way. For Entori himself... He seems consistant... though perhaps a bit envious/jealous towards friends... I'd say a little too open minded in some areas and too close minded for what I'd envision an elven wizard out of evermeet to be... but I'm no judge.. hells I have merchant daughter talking to a hat and swinging a sword ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) . What I always thought was the spark of a well rped character was that they seemed 3d; that they have a personality, goals, and an outlook on life... that makes them more than just their classes and build with a desire to kill/gainxp. Far as I can tell Entori has that... otherwise he'd not argue with Aria so much on things deeper than weither or not its okay for someone to walk around in the nude. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

HAHA we've had that arguement though.. 'silly humans and their ideas about covering the body, do you not have public baths, such as everseka?'
I beleive aria made a comment mutter about ent not seeing her naked.
good times

When some PCs names are mention IG you just shrug to yourself and say "yep I know 'em" and others spring forth a vivid picture into your mind. To Bel .... Entori is a self sacrificing and generous mage, Friend and an elf conflicted between being true to his heritage and yet stay true to the people of Cormyr and become their protector as a War Wizard someday. Entori has been a trusted friend and ally ever since the hillarious "naked boar wrestling" episode in the Hullack and I thank him.

I personally just think that he sux. Damn elves always thinking they are better than everyone else. My dwarf will....oh wait...I play an elf to. So nevermind.
Seriously though, I do enjoy your rp. Sometimes I have be reminded of what an elf should be. I believe that you do that for me at times. Thanks.

He's got big ears and he blows things up. And he knows it too ;D.
Seriously talking to Ent and getting the "1 century down, 8 to go" perspective on things adds a lot of spice to any situation. And he isnt a butt like some elves out there. And unlike a mage who will remain nameless he hasn't blown Adelius up with a fireball. And lets not forget that trip where I got turned to stone and he threatened to give me to Aria as a lawn gnome.

I can honestly say that Entori is one of a kind... he's the first elf Vrulo ever met that didn't come right out and act as if he was either the scum of the planet nor that he was a good chum. The impression Vrulo got from Entori is "so far you seem alright... don't make me change my mind". As a player I think Entori is great... the server wouldn't be the same without him.
P.S. it's nice to see an elf that while he doesn't hate Vrulo... he doesn't necessarily trust him either. Most are either really friendly or outright hostile.

Well, from what I've seen, I've got one thing I really like and one thing I don't particularly like about Entori. The thing I like is how he, contrary to (most) mages of his kind, doesn't wear pure white or other such unlikely adventurer's colours. Nobody can even begin to step through Cormyr in pure white before slobbing into shades of cappuccino or latté. So, I appreciate your realistic approach to colours.
The thing I don't like is the blatant use of magic every now and then, the way I'll see him enter the area in an ear-and-eye-deafening orb+truesight+sparklyeffects kind of haze. But that's not really something I suspect you can or will do much about, as it's really not a big matter.
Am looking forward to getting to know your character more in-depth. Seems to me you're putting yourself into your character, and I can enjoy that. Hope you made sense of this, because I keep losing my concentration around every fortieth letter or so.

Yeah, my god can't you just wait outside of the the city until all your buffs wear off? Or..better yet just spend some coin and use a bedroll and rest outside of town so that your buffs go away. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

yeah theres a bit about that.. Ents a bit parinoid so buffs stay up usually. their all extended too so that means about 36 minutes of spells and such, and usually longer as some are 24hour - /hour spells, so whoops. if I'm just coming back off adventurer up I'm sorry I occasionally get a dm to debuffify me, or I'll get someone to dispell me. And you all know what kind of crap goes down in isin. He likes to be prepared for the worse. remember 90% of his buffs visuals are turned off by the server, a few sparklies and a ultravision shouldn't be a problem, it be diffrent if I had energybuffer/prem and the whole shebang going.
now that thats addressed..
thanks for the colors comments and he's easy to talk to for most. so say hi and see where it goes, sorry that the buffs bug you but the price for being a mage I suppose.

Hehe, well, it shouldn't be too hard to get a scripted item to cast dispel on yourself once a day, out of combat or something. I dunno, it's just a pet peeve of mine, because I find it difficult to talk to people who look like a hungover christmas ornament.
Er. No offense, because you don't always look like that. Just every now and then, and even then, I'm not as peeved about it as this post makes it seem. It's just the only thing I can criticise.
I s'pose it's up to the developers, not you, to make this go away. Can't expect you to be wasting a rest every time you enter Isinhold.

Hehe, well, it shouldn't be too hard to get a scripted item to cast dispel on yourself once a day, out of combat or something. That sounds like an idea to me. Would it be hard for the DMs to script an item that will 1x/day remove all beneficial magical effects on yourself, and add it to the list of items you recieve when you join the server? The rest of us will probably have to buy it from the DMFI merchant in the welcome area, but it'll probably take a reset to implement anyway, so we could grab it on our way out of the welcome area the first time we log in. The other option would be to remove the visuals of the remaining visible effects. Either way, it would cut down on the number of mages walking around cities looking like a lit christmas tree, though I'm pretty sure mages would rather have the visuals removed option than have to walk around "naked" of their buffs.
