It seems some of the best PC's on this server are those that have noticeable flaws. Love 'em or hate 'em ... the consistancy of their traits is what makes them memorable. There are so many times now, when a players name is mentioned .... a vivid picture of them comes to mind. I encourage everyone to embrace their traits ... even if it doesn't make for the best build of a PC .... it is what enhances the gameplay in the end. Let your expierences IG dictate what path you take ..... and not what build you can pwn with. It would be good to hear from others how their expierences IG have affected their characters progression.

I turly couldn't agree more. I have talked alot about this in the past but it is great to hear this from a player on FRC. Well said. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

I have a flaw for flaws. It’s true.
I don’t know if I talked about this before, but I start all character concepts around a strong personality trait that could be (preferably) flawed based.
Yulena has, and had, several flaws. Some of them she has grown stronger and past. Some of them she has developed over time due to other players. An obvious flaw that comes to mind is the fact that she isn’t graceful. At level one, she would fall out of chairs from misitting, and I have her fall on her face at least twice a week still. (though through time she’s gotten a little better, with training.) You might catch Kelric giving her piggyback rides across streams- she has a terrible time with slick stones.
For me, the most rewarding part of roleplaying is playing a flaw. To see how it changes, how it may get better, or get worse. In fact, I depend on flaws so much in my roleplay that it may be a flaw of my own. Give me a normal person, and I may not know how to roleplay them. But who wants to play with whitebread. Boooooring. ;D

Hell I LOVE playing with Teneas. Not only is he arrogant, but can be quite the fool at times. Tis great to play him like this. When I started online gaming late last year, he was going to be just like he was in the old PnP days. CE assasin, and without any flaws that you could notice. Wasnt fun at all. Decided on a different approach, and have had fun ever since. Kinda had Danillo Thann in mind when Teneas took his arrogant and foolish turn.
Guess that is all....oh and he has no idea when to shut up either.

Heh....man.....the longer you stay around here you really start to notice which topics come up the most. This one is one of my favs. I started playing with 4 other guys, 5 if you include myself, and we all had flaws. Now to see how things turned out because of those flaws and character traits, well we probably would of never guessed things would of gone this way at all. This is what i find is what makes the game. Marklar, Jorban, Chril......and visitant though he's not around.....thanks for it all. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Torian's biggest flaws are overly apparent, but she wasn't always like that. Way, way back in the tomes of time, Torian was actually a nice person to be around and somewhat shy. Through her experiences in life, she has become the biggest flaw she is today. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) If it weren't fer flaws, characters would be perfect cardboard cut-outs that would be boring as hell. YAY FLAWS!!

Flaws flaws everywhere...love them all. From Guldars deep resentments of authority, to Manshins own overiding need for vengance, to Ranans fanatical faith in Bane. To Quens need to be liked, to Tarans own sense of self worth when measured up to a dwarf, lol. Evana who is constantly questioning herself to Sharitas blind faith in her fellow man...yeah, love the faults and flaws... (these are all my own opions and not all are shared by all, specially that one guy who hates being called a pirate the scurvy buccaneer, smelly arse bandit on the sea, one eyed willy of the ocean...hmmm, guess that is a flaw too) ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

not to mention that Taran and the dwarves love to jerk the chain of a certain ranger!
great insight moulinous...it is definately the flaws that add the flavor to each character...

Luna is one big flaw in herself!!!
She gets lost quite a bit, she jumps to conclusions, and she forgives easily. Which tends to get her into trouble quite frequently.
But there is no one I adore more than this character. She is wonderful!

Zaebros' fear... RPed to the max. I admit one of the best approaches to a low stat.

If Quen ever actually scouted and came back without a "horde of death" in hot pursuit ... it'd be Metagaming LOL.
Then again ... so would Bel not always sticking his nose into other peoples problems constantly.
