I currently most of the time play Doust, the usually hooded, cloaked Sorcerer. I would be grateful if you had any comments/feedback/feelings about my character and my roleplay with him, and anything you might like/not-like.
I strongly encourage DMs to post some feedback as well if they want to. Frankly, I am looking forward mostly to seeing things you see as not fit or unrealistic, and not just starting a thread to get attention.

I for one think you are starting this thread for attention. I am highly disappointed and highly annoyed with this thread. I think this thread should be locked, no deleted from the forums. I.... eh, I can't carry on like this anymore. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Doust eh? Hmmm.... I think I may have RPed with that character once or twice. I like the whole *eyes glow as he says the incantation* thing when he casts the spell. I also like how he knows when to launch a fireball and any other party affecting spell. I like how he hides his pretty boy face under a hood to prevent hoards of women fighting to be with him. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Damn charisma type characters..... I do not like how he thinks he's the man when he's not. Cause Torgeir is definitely the man. Other than that I think he's cool.

I like Doust! Well, of course I do, otherwise I'd probably not hang around with him. ;D I especially like the fact he can't find the way somewhere. Having Doust lead one somewhere is always fun cause you'll end up somewhere completely else in the end. Yay for character flaws! ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) The spell RPing is also nice. Details are always good! Also you are the first sorcerer to ever convince Zae he has an idea of what he's doing (Sorry other sorcerers that Zae knows, but while he might like the chars, he thinks most of them should better leave their fingers from things they don't understand). Another thumbs up for not just having feats that make you stronger (thinking of the martial weapon profiency you seem to have here). Can't say there's really something about Doust I found 'unrealistic'.

heh! I Like your character, I play Lindra Mey'nolt, half the time when your character is being morbid she does'nt know if your being serious or saying it as a joke, but she likes you so she does'nt want to think of you as being morbid, because that would mean she'd have to think of you as being, well, other things that would make her not travel with you anymore, lol, anyway, keep up the good rp.

As a player I certainly appreciate the fact that you try to spend some time either about town or at the inn just being "Doust" instead of trying to get him to the next level. Seems you also try and have a solid reason why your character would put the effort into heading out.
My characters haven't formed too much of an opinion yet as we've only RPed a tiny little bit. That'll come in time. ^_^
If there's only one negative thing to put it would be I've not seen any personality quirks yet. Though, that's probably due to not being about your character enough to say that for certain.

To Kyrion, "Doustie" is still quite a mystery.
Strong points:
* Doust is in town for the sake of being in town, rather than to round up the next adventuring party.
* He knows when to say something and knows when to say nothing. His use of silence ("...") is effective. Many people talk as much as they can to max out the RP experience. Silence too is an effective tool at the appropriate times.
* He is well dressed (i.e. stylish, but not flashy).
* He's mysterious. He doesn't seem to run with many people out on adventures, so many don't know his true character or realize his power. Most of what Kyrion knows of him is through gossip. Nice.
* He doesn't flaunt the "oh, look, I'm a sorcerer!" thing. He acts like a human being first, sorcerer next. The subtlety is effective.
Weak points:
* I haven't found any yet. But, as with some of the others, Kyrion hasn't RPed too much with Doust... nothing too much beyond formalities in town.
Conclusion: So far, so good. Keep it up.

Well, since I hang with Doust quite a bit I must say...he is one of the coolest characters I have ever met.
There isnt much wrong with him, and there really isnt much I can say without sounding like Im copying everything, everyone else has already said to you.
*shrugs* Definately one of my favorite people to RP with...he makes you feel things.
I love his pants...*nod nod*...they kinda have a flare to them at the bottom...reminds me of the seventies...
Thats all I have to say...you already know how I feel about Doust. *grins and hugs*

I enjoy roleplay with Doust, he is one of those characters that I am friendly with beyond the point of customer to merchant courtesy. One of a very few I might add. I feel like right now we are just friendly aquaintances, but we might become much better friends at some point.

![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) From the two or three sessions I've played with him, I haven't really had any problems with your mad rp'ing skillz, but lately everytime I've spoken to Doust lately you've been just about to log off, lol...but otherwise, you're good at playing Doust, though he's still somewhat of a mystery to me, (especially those glowing red eyes,) and that makes Alev sore suspicious. *observes Doust with naked suspicion* ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Dont do much with Doust at all here, but as you know, played with you at the "other place". Always found your rp to be intimidating. You do such a good job with it. Any server is blessed to have you call it home. Makes me try to do a better job with my rp. Thanks man.

I think Doust is a lousy paladin.

Despite travelling with once ...Uthar hasnt yet decided to transfer Doust's name into a more suitable category of his "tome of names". For now, the "to be watched more closely" Category applies, as opposed to the "threat" "tool for manipulation" or "associate" categories

Because of where he stands by the Inn constantly he is know by almost all of my characters on a first name basis (Well thats if you count Dousty and Mr Spangles as first names)
Of course some just assume he is a male prostitue touting for trade outside of the Inn but at least two of my characters would actualy consult with him if they had a personal problem. Not that any of my chars have personal problems you understand, they are all upstanding individuals and as sane as blueberries.
In short Doust is a well defined and well played character, even when he is argueing.
My one pet hate is the fact that he has spangerly magic up most of the time and it does my eyes in when I am playing late and I personaly think we dont need to have 'busy' spell effects in the middle of Isinhold when all you wanna do is get some RP done
