*Scribed in a neat and precisely handwriting*
Fellow adventurers,
For a daring and certainly dangerous undertaking, the orc known as Crom is looking for skilled and willing adventures to help him with the following. Some activity has been reported within the Stonelands. Dangerous beings have been spotted leaving the tower deep within the Stonelands, even making it into the snowy lands just north of Eveningstar. As protector of Eveningstar, Crom has taken it upon himself to investigate this and therefore is seeking help. Be warned though, rumors have it a dragon is reciding at the top of forementioned tower and it certainly will not be for the faint of heart.
//Now for the OC bit. I would like to organise a fun 'old fashion' trip with a nice and large group if possible (personally i wouldnt even mind 8 or more, loved these big groups when I just started out. Since it can take a while to get a group online capable of doing the place I had in mind, I decided to make it a planned event.I would like to do it within a day or 5 and start at around 18:30 +1GMT time if its gonna be during weekdays or when in the weekend I got plenty of time. Please let me know if your intrested and when you could come, so we can go out and have some fun.

//Another small update. The date will definetly be upcoming saturday the 30th. We will assemble at the inn of Eveningstar and things will start at 18:00 (+1GMT). I'm pretty bad with the different timezomes, so please to avoid any miscommunications look up what time it will be for you. Or if I am online in the upcoming days just ask and we can figure out what time it will be by comparing our times. Nothing is more annoying then coming online, thinking it will start and finding out it's already underway or won't start for another few hours. Secondly, to give you an idea how awesome our group is gonna be. The following people signed: Crom, Kelric, Teneas, Aria, Beloril, Celith or Rigrin, Rastan and Nolendil

Fook me, tha soonds like a laugh, been an age since I seen ole Crom.
// Count me in!
I'm on GMT +1 (London time) and I believe that 18:00 equates to 13:00 Eastern. Like Slanker, I'm rubbish at time conversations though!

// I think shimmerxxx is right.
As I understand it, EST (east coast, USA) is GMT-4. Given that Slanker posted his time as GMT+1, that's a 5 hour difference. so 18:00 Slanker's time becomes 13:00 EST, i.e. 1:00 PM.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Open the windows clock on the bottom right of your screen. XP users should have a tab that says "Timezone"... scroll through it for... well... timezones.

Correcting... EST is GMT - 5. EST (Eastern STANDARD Time) is, indeed, GMT -5. However, the East Coast of the U.S. is presently in EDT (Eastern DAYLIGHT Time), which is GMT -4. The confusion arises because almost all Americans use "EST" to mean "the time in the Eastern Time Zone", which is, in fact, not what it means. The Eastern Time Zone alternates between EST and EDT. 18:00 in GMT+1 is noon in my time zone, central. On a previous server I once had a European DM announce an event as occurring at 18:00 GMT, because he thought he was in GMT. But he wasn't, he made the same mistake that the Americans always do: he was in British Summer Time, which is GMT +1. People showed up at the wrong time, and he was really frustrated. Slanker, you're sure you mean GMT+1, right, you're not on Central European Summer Time (GMT+2)?

Yeah, I'm very sure of it. I live in the Netherlands and we have a +1GMT timezone here.

//I have an idea for you, Slanker.
Include the time in your next post. That way people can compare your written time with the one in the "Posted by... " headline at the beginning of the post.
For instance, I'm posting this at 8.50 am CET.
