To the Council of Redmist,
I have come to hear that a number of the Siamorphe faithful have come to be taken prisoner for faith through your city's gazette. I would like to make a few inquires of the event.
Firstly, Are any of the members of it Cormyrian Citizenry?
Secondly, Was the group able to pay the fine for their violation of your law?
Thirdly, if the group was unable to pay the full amount, what is the remaining balance of their fine?
I can understand the objection to Siamorphe's faith by a city whose nobility since the time the demons over-ran it has been so corrupt; however Siamorphe's faith is not innately tyrranical in the fashion that the vile faith of the Tyrrant is. There are after all, such things as goodly nobility who are willing to protect, shelter, serve, and sacrifice for their people; Such examplified by the late Azoun IV laying down his very life in painful combat against a great beast to protect his kingdom and its peoples.
As of this I would request that mercy be taken upon these faithful of Siamorphe in that:
I be allowed to pay the remaining balance of any fine owed (or as much as I am able).
I be allowed to treat the injuries obtained from their flogging to prevent the beginings of disease and pestilence, which may spread be spread of these people are left untreated.
And in final, that I be allowed to escort any prisoner of allegience to the Cormyrian Crown to our own cells; in spirit of the Western Reach Accord's Agreement of the Third.
I shall return in two days to pick up any reply missive to this inquiry.
With hope that the Council will usher brighter days for all of Redmist and benign visitors to the city,
Swordmajor Aria Blake, Battlemage of Torm
