To whom it may concern:
I have been attacked and harmed within the walls of Isinhold. A description of my attacker is as follows. *gives a description of Jayne Reynolds*
I had been unaware of the law against bringing a familiar into Isinhold, and my familiar had followed me into the Regal Griffon. I was gathering provisions to travel into the inn cellar to help Sam with his rat problem, when my attacker attacked and destroyed my familiar. She gave no warning, no sign of her intention to do so, simply drew and attacked. As closely tied as I am to my familiar, I was greatly harmed and weakened by this attack.
After the attack, she explained that it was illegal to have familiars out in Isinhold, and she was simply taking that law into her own hands. The attack, though directed at my familiar, had the effect of harming my person, so can be considered a direct attack on me. I'm sure that, also, is illegal. If she had informed me of the law before taking it into her own hands, I would have dismissed my familiar, but this person decided that a wrong can be corrected by a wrong.
I am not about to let a direct attack upon my person within the sanctuary of Isinhold go unpunished. I ask that the person responsible for this attack on my person be arrested. I do understand that I, myself, was in the wrong in the eyes of the law, and I am prepared to pay a fine or whatever to see things right, as I understand that ignorance of the law is no excuse for breaking it. This person, however, seemed to be very familiar with the law, and broke the law in full knowledge.
