Rage boiled beneath the surface of her calm demeanor, she knew once she got to him she wouldnt be able to control herself anymore. Her green eyes becoming dark with rage as she caught his scent, it was unmistakable, like sulfur. She jogged up the hill that led into the Bramblewood and caught sight of him at once.
"Hey!" She screamed, the rage finally exploding. She moved towards him with blinding speed and grabbed hold of his cloak, throwing him into the brick pillar, causing it to crack slightly. Warrick looked into the barbarians eyes as she screamed at him, his own anger beginning to show.
"How dare you Warrick!" She screamed, her breath hot on his face.
"How dare I what?" He never had a problem matching her rage, and was making that known.
"How dare you even -think- that we had anything to do with Korista's death!" She tightened her hold on cloak.
"Didnt you?"
Luna's eyes alight with rage as he spoke those words and she roared in anger an incomprehensible sound.
Just then Alex showed up. Luna looked over at him as he approached and nodded to her, making his way over to the gaurd nearby to engage in idle chatter.
She turned her head back to Warrick and lowered her voice.
"What do you want brother?" Her voice suddenly eerily calm as she spoke. Warricks eyebrows shot up in surprise at the instantaneous change, his eyes taking on a hint of defeat.
"Ehver..." he whispered. "I want Ehver."
"Join us then. Join us and you can have Ehver." Her holding almost a soothing quality as she spoke, causing Warrick's body to go limp.
"You will be welcome with us. You wont need to hide who you truly are." She sniffed the air around them. "I can smell it still Warrick, the blood. It is still in you. Just be who you are meant to be."
At those words Warrick's eyes shot open and the rage had returned. He threw his body weight at Luna, smashing his elbow into her face. Without even missing a beat she rammed her head into his and threw him back against the brick pillar nearly shattering it.
Someone coughed, she looked over. Edward had joined Alex, talking with the gaurd occasionally looking over at Luna and Warrick. Alex motioned her towards the woods and she complied. Grabbing Warrick again by the neck she tossed him roughly into the entrance of the wood.
The three of them followed Warrick in. Luna was instantly on him throwing him against the rock face in front of them, her brand new blade unsheathed and pressed against his neck in a deadly fashion.
"Do it Luna!" He screamed in her face, spit flying out.
The barbarian in front of him couldn't speak, if she did she would have torn his throat out with her teeth. She pressed the blade harder into the tender flesh at the base of his throat. Suddenly Edward was there speaking in a commanding tone to her.
"Luna, put the sword down. You will not harm him, you hear me?"
She didnt seem to hear him, she was fuming, the rage completely consuming every part of her.
"Lunitari, put the sword down now." Edwards voice stern and disapproving.
Alex stepped up beside Edward and began trying to talk her down. His voice different than Edwards, caring.
"Luna, just let him go. He isnt worth it.
Just then Warrick began taunting her, his voice usually so beautiful and strong now full of poison.
"You are their dog Luna! They have you on a leash."
Luna just then saw red and nearly took his head clean off. Edward stepped up and put his hand on the blade and leaned over and whispered very quietly in her ear.
"You kill him Luna and I wash my hands of you forever, you hear me?" After those words were spoken, Edward backed off leaving Luna to make her decision.
Her mind reeled as she looked at the man she once considered a brother, visions of slicing his head from his body invaded her mind. She turned her head and looked to the two men standing side by side. They had both taken over her life, she cared for them both. As she turned her head to look at Warrick, her eyes faded from the near black back to their bright emerald green. She dropped the sword on the ground and took a step back.
"Thats it! Listen to them you dog!" Warrick bellowed in her face.
Luna looked to him calmly, not speaking a word but just pulling her right hand back in a fist and smashing it into his face with all the force she could muster. His head reeled back against the cliff, blood instantly oozing out of his nose. She turned on her heel and walked over to Alex and Edward, giving Warrick the chance to run off back to Isinhold.
