Letter to Bentin, of the Isinhold militia.

Bentin,

I write to report of the prisoner working under you, named Torgeir.
Abusing his position in the militia to carry out his personal grudges.

As you might have been informed he has been placed under you as punishment for two murders he attacked and killed me and a woman in the street after threatening us. To this day I do not yet know what drove him to such, but as he proves he is still capable of doing the very same over and over again.

For a tenday ago when I visited Isinhold, enjoying a conversation with a friend of mine.
Torgeir walked up and ordered me to leave, I asked for a reason but he gave none, then he proceeded to threaten to kill me again unless I left the town, whereupon I did as he said as he is a member of the militia, even though he was obviously abusing his position.

On the way out a Dragon stopped me, whereupon Torgeir got irritated and continued to make several additional death threats and told me to never again return to Isinhold.
I stayed to answer the Dragons questions then left as ordered.

It is unfortunate such a criminal can be left to do as he pleases in your fine village.
And I assure you I cause no threat to Isinhold or it's people.
I have aided the town many a times, among others, aiding Callen, and once Merris to secure a truce with the Zhentarim after they retaliated an adventurer attack on their troops.
As well as helped fight off several orc invasions, an in aiding you and the purple dragons in the arrest of multiple criminals befouling Isinhold.

I am in possession of an adventuring charter and have commited no crime during my years in cormyr, nor given any reason to not be let inside Isinholds gates.

I was told by the purple dragon Kelric, that you are Torgeirs superior, and to report to you with any abuse of his service to Isinhold, or criminal activity. I hope this can aid in giving him the proper punishment and not force him upon Isinhold.
And request I will be let back into the village.

Torgeir happily walks along the side of the road completely oblivious to the fact that bentin just got some mail.

OOC: Why would Torgeir see the letter before Bentin? If the letter was addressed to Bentin I believe it would be DM discretion whether Bentin showed the letter to Torgeir. In other words, Torgeir didn't see the letter unless word comes back from DMs to that extent or you can reasonably explain why Torgeir is reading all of Bentin's mail and convince a DM the reasoning is sound.
