Name: Roy (Royanicas) Son of Ellessar
Age: 128
Race: Qualinesti elves
Class: Sorcerer/Mage
Looks: Royan stands 5’10” and weighs approximately 140 pounds. He has long, straight, blonde hair that goes to about to his shoulders. Royan has a small scar courtesy of a childhood friend above his left eye. His eyes are blue with a stream of orange/red running around the outside of his pupil. He has no facial hair other than his eyebrows. His elven background makes him smaller than normal. But he is a large elf. He was built for combat but chose the path of a black mage. He has a small ring on his middle finger of his right hand. A small token left from his mother. He wears a red and black robe with golden trimming. He has a hood attached to his robe with a silver thread And his fathers Elven sword on his left side sheathed in a yeti skin sheath. He has a small pouch on his right side for any magical ingredients he may come across during his travels and a small backpack specifically for spell books.
Personality: Chaotic Good. He believes in the balance of good over evil. He believes in personal gain if it will help keep the balance. He is generally Courteous, generous and friendly to all he meets unless you’re a hideous orc or an evil mummy. Though he may seem evil in appearance he is anything but evil. He uses his evil appearance to gain trust of an evil enemy so he may learn all he needs to be able to destroy the enemy.
Goals: Royan is new into the ways of magic and strives to learn all he can to offset evil intentions and actions. He has long searched for his fathers magical pendant but his efforts seem of no use. He believes it was stolen by an orog named Groagma. This half orc half ogre struck his father down when Royan was just a young elf of only 18. He swore on his father’s death that he would seek revenge on this orog called Groagma.
History: As you have read, the monster Groagma killed Royan’s father. His father, Ellessar put up a fight fit for a hero. His epic fight was uncharted and only kept in the memory of Royans’ mother Natalie. She was there that fateful dawn as Groagma marched his army of orogs into their home village. She says her husband fought off over 50 of Groagmas orogs. He cast many spells and began to tire before the battle was half over. The fight lingered on and he was almost unconscious, but the gods of light had been summoned in the form of healing magic, it was Royans mother Natalie a cleric of great power. He was restored and fought off, with the help of the other villagers, the rest of the army. Now all that was left was Groagma and his orc shamans. Natalie was knocked unconscious
and his father tired. Drew his elven blade and charged Groagma, unfortunately Ellessar could not hear the orc shamans casting a spell of blindness upon him. He faught with Groagma, the fight seemed in his favor. Then He was blinded. He was unable to see. The shaman successfully blinded him. From what speculating villagers saw as they looked in awe, was Ellessar fall at the blade of Groagma. Ellessars pendant fell off and disappeared. Could it have been Groagmas’ shamans using a telekinetic grab or was it simply teleported to another realm. None knew. But Royan knew that Groagma would know. And so he searches for this life long enemy. Hoping he is still lives so that Royan may slay the beast and find his fathers’ pendant. After the battle Groagma fled with the help of his shamans and was never seen in the village again.
Royan had a fairly simple childhood. His only flaw was not having a father to guide him in the right path. His best childhood friend was Quenifus but he just called him Quen. He and Quen had many adventures together as they past their teen years. Though his unfortunate mishap with a human scared his eye. He met an adventurer when he was just 118. This man saw that Roy was an elf and so he began to attack. Roy fought gallantly but suffered a blow to the head knocking him unconscious. When he awoke he was in the home of his attacker. Startled he jumped up and searched franticly for an exit he saw none. His attacker appeared through what must have been a magical wall. Roy scared asked him what he had done with Quen. The human answered and Roy looked desperately for a door to the next room, but found none. His attacker then introduced himself as Khan Smith. He was a son of a blacksmith famous in the lands of humans. Roy curious why he was still alive and wondering why this Khan brought him into this room. Luckily he knew his mother might be able to locate him with her magic. Khan continued introducing himself as the son of a blacksmith named Jerod. Roy had asked him many a time why he brought him there but khan seemed to interested in his introduction to notice. After Khan was finished he told Roy that he was searching for an elf named Lekza who would be able to tell his father how to enchant his weapons. After that incident him and khan became lifetime friends. He did help Khan find this Lekza and khans father crafted khan a very powerful great sword. Enchanted with the magic of fire. Khan chose the path of a fighter. Not a blacksmith as his father intended. Khan loved the road and traveling with his companions Roy and Quen. The three managed to get into a lot of trouble. Mostly with dreaded goblins. Roy even managed to destroy a whole tribe of goblins at the age of 46 with the help of his friends Khan and Quen. Through the years Roy managed to defeat many foes and save many people. It wasn’t till the age of 55 when his mother died that he became interested in the ways of black magic. He spent most of his years searching for his fathers pendant….. Hoping it would help him become a black mage. But found nothing, no leads to its whereabouts or no information on the orog Groagma.
