to new players.. Get out there Get in peoples Faces. Be NOTICED. its something I do not do enough, and I regret it constantly but I see where I went wrong so I'll give the advice. Sure when your walking around and see a shinny electrical elemental and goo WOO.. (I died many times trying to fight those. in my early levels, and I posted a rant too) woo-- usually means RUN! ... I get in peoples faces and nobody notices me, all of them great characters get mentioned and none of them mine...everybody must hate me *sighs and cries in the corner* Oh and when you go WOO and run away, remember to send a message to the DM's so that they can remove any spawns you may have left behind...Rememer your lag is our lag ~scuttles back to his corner~

I know i come from a server where a lot had to be done on one's own because traveling in a party always meant being punished by half or less exp. Thats not even getting into the face that ever since i left they added a rule that says that if the level differences between players is more than 5 (or 10 if everyone is over level 20) then everyone in the party is docked 3 levels.
I've finally gotten past that and believe me when I say it is far more fun to travel with a party. The great thing about frc is that if you get, say 8 exp from an orc and you travel with a group of people who are all your level or below everyone still gets 8 exp for the orc. The only 'penalty' for traveling in a party really is the fat the spawns tend to be a bit tougher (but not so much as to nullify the benefits). And the DMs don't smack you around for traveling with someone much higher than you as long as there is a valid rp reason.
So get out there, meet people, and never, ever, EVER do anything that Entori claims is a good idea. Adelius has learned that the hard way many times.
