In history the end of an era was marked by change. You have the Bronze Age, the Iron Age, the Dark Age, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, etc. Even in fiction you have the Age of Heroes, the Silver Age, the Golden Ages, etc, all because of major changes in the world.
This is NOT a new age. I will not be making major changes to the world of FRC. Justicar and Ainur did a fantastic job on FRC. They and other contributors built this world that you enjoy so much. I can’t even begin to give you areas or creative scripting like they could. What I can and will give you is the same thing I’ve given since August of 2004 when I was asked to join the DM Team… stability, impartiality and my years of experience both as a DM and as a Player.
Those of you that are newer may not know me very well. Don’t be surprised. I’m a subtle sort of person unless I need to be otherwise. Ever since we increased the number of DM’s on FRC I’ve stayed in the background in game. In game my interactions with you will have been as a player more often than as a DM. On the forums however I’ve stayed VERY active all of these years helping with issues, testing new additions, bug and exploit testing, giving advice, and looking at how each decision we make effects the big picture. I plan on continuing to do so.
At this stage FRC looks to be complete. There will still be minor bug fixes to fix, but the majority of our Build Teams labor is being focused on FRC 2. There are enough areas to explore, quests to complete, and active DM’s to make FRC a great place to be for a long time.
Follow the rules.
Treat each other with respect.
Be fair.
Have fun.
Remember this game isn’t just about you… it is about everyone involved.
