After talking with Justicar he suggested asking about it on the forums. So I am curious if the banishment is still in effect? By what I have gathered the reason for the banishment was murdering (or as Tia claims killing in selfdefence) a militia member. The banishment was declared by Council of Isinhold after Cortiana was dug up from her grave and revived after the execution at the hands of the Crown. The matter was later taken to a Purple Dragon officer who decided that Cortiana's punishment was over, although he was surprised to see her alive considering her punishment was death.
So I am curious that since Cortiana was informed that she would be killed if she stepped into Isinhold after the execution and revival, if the banishment is still in effect or not? So far I have snuck into Isin while disguised but I'd really want to know how to handle the whole thing. So if the DMs could make some decision about it I'd be most grateful ^^

Cortiana has suffered the consequences. Why pour salt on the wounds? I say no more banishment.

Strikes me as a bit harsh, to execute someone and then dig up the body and resurrect it in order to banish the poor person! Would this mean that after a double homicide (justified or not) the perpetrator might be executed, raised, and then executed again? I agree with Panros.

She wasnt dug up by the village of Isinhold.. Her body was claimed by certain Maidens of Hope and raised by them..
Upon returning to the village of Isinhold, the village Elders decreed her banishment.
Attacks against an adventures is one thing - what do they matter since they will be on there way one day anyhow... an attack against a avowed defender of a village or hamlet is another I would think. I mean you could get banished from a village for going against the wishes of an elder.
I guess I would look at it from the villagers side... Not from Helgrins or my own point of view. I for one, if I was a defender of Isinhold that puts his life on the line to defend it... would be pretty disappointed in my leaders if they were to all of a sudden turn around and say to me .. Sure.. Cortiana is welcome again.. Come on in so the person you killed can watch you walk around Isinhold with free reign...
Should it last forever.. no.. But really..... what has Cort done to prove that she deserves to come back.. I know Helgrin has talked to her about it when she was around and she never showed one bit of remorse.. always defended the action. Then she disappears and comes back and all of a sudden it should be forgotten about.. I dont know about that..
Hell.. Helgrin still holds what happened over that whole thing against Son'ya when she tried to protect Cortiana from me when I tried to bring her in to. Why that is... for you to find out IG.......
Guess that is my two cents...

Hafta side with helg on this and it is nothing personnal. The villagers are natural ormyr citzens and us foreginers are nothing but walking coin purses. I would see her banishment would be permant until she rid the town of this or that....maybe even served as a militia guard for a year and a day with HONOR...but she would hafta prove her self worthy of being allowed back in to the town.

Nothing personal I side with Mul and Hel also also (Nothing personal) the maidans of hope might want to cease defending known criminals, they too could be expeled from both the maidans of hope and cormyr (Agian no offence but I figure the advice might save some member some trouble with the law ;D) I am also sure the people will keep a close eye on both son'ya and Cor for a while if she is to come back, they have earned some distrust form the people of cormyr

My dear sir
The Maidens of Hope believe in seeking the redemption of those unfortunate souls that have lost their way in life. Our order will continue to extend a helping hand to others who truely desire and warrant a second chance. If that means extending our orders blessings those with a criminal past so be it. We however will continue to abide by the wishes of the Elders of Isinhold and the crown in all matters of course.

That is just how good of a RPer Gathera is.. In Character All the time..
Even at work.
Yeah.. gets some odd looks when Gathera tries to summon a astral deva to do the K8981 - 343 year end dividend reports... But hey.. Gathera is at least IC...

Well, if the punishment for the crime was death... and she's not dead... then the punishment isnt served.
Kind of like if someone survives the first trip to the electric chair they turn it back on.
The idea that killing someone just to ressurect them and the punishment be over is somewhat absurb. Kind of like sentencing someone to 20 years in prison and then saying since they spent the night in jail then broke out they'd served their time.
So in reality... I think Cortiana would be a fugitive... at the very least a banishment would be a permnant thing until she could bribe the punishment away... with an incredibly steep and hard to achieve fine.

I would like remenber those accusing ooc the maidens of hope that were the maidens ic who delivered Cortiana to justice, Keetena and Sonya after talk with her. The maidens maybe helped some criminals in past (I see no reason to discuss the guild affairs so I will not comment positively neither negatively ), but this never was proved neither saw IC - what already happened were people of the maidens who aided in their own will, but never sanctioned by the maidens of hope, and they answered to the athorities for this - so let's not mix things ok huns

I believe this question was mostly directed at the DM crew. As such I will be locking the post and moving it under the DM Q&A forums.
We are currently discussing things. Please be patient.

After further review:
The exile from Isinhold still stands.
The Council of Elders has not forgotten Cortiana's actions. Though her execution served as punishment for the crime, there was no remorse on the part of the criminal for what was done.
ICly if Cortiana enters Isinhold then she should continue to keep herself disguised. If caught she will have to pay the consequences.
Pleading from friends will not be the way to get this exile lifted. Cortiana's actions will be.
If anyone has further questions regarding this, please PM me directly.
