While 'missing body parts' are banned, would it be permissible to have a character who had a wooden leg? The back story I have in mind is a soldier who has lost a leg in the service of the crown, and now seeks to gain a living as, say, the assistant to a merchant character....

Apologies for us missing this question.
I personally don't see anything fully wrong with you having a character with a 'peg leg'. The only thing we would ask to go along with that is the Dex stat the character has would not be able to be that high.
Got to remember that peg legs in older times weren't "walking friendly" and are not anything like the prosthetics we have today where the knee can bend and a foot and ankle joint added to the end.
Hmm... actually wait, if you did a peg leg you'd basically have to make the foot go missing which would make it a no-no thing.
Ehhh.... crew? Opinions?

I would say no, mainly due to the foot. And the fact I can't really see anyone with a wooden peg leg, walking all over Cormyr.

Also consider that Resurrection magic may restore any lost limbs. Raise Dead wouldn't do it, but if you were the subject of a Resurrection, it may restore the body whole.
