Edynislava Feralburrow
(Pronounced E-den-iz-la-va)

Gender: Female
Race: Lightfoot Hin
Height: 3' 2" (0.97 m)
Body Type: Athletic
Skin: Dark Brown
Hair: Black, short, slightly curly
Eyes: Hazel-brown
Age Appearance: In her mid twenties
In Game Description: A dark skinned, female hin with a congenial smile on her face. While she is of average height, her athletic musculature speaks of years of physical training. Her hair is black, short and curled. Hazel eyes and a slight upturned button nose completes her look.
Very often wearing grass green and brown monk garments with yellow highlights, around her neck she wears an amulet of a cornucopia on a green shield.
Dressing Habits: Loose clothes that she can move around easy in is usually what she prefers. Greens, browns, yellows, or anything that can be deemed connected to her goddess is a must.
Basic IC Information (things that can be found out just by talking with commoners, no lore check needed):
- She's been flitting around Greatgaunt helping with the usual adventurer type jobs.
- She calls herself a "Shield and Fist of Yondalla".
- Edy had a strong showing at Shieldmeet 1388 (2024), winning her Joust in Bracket 2, winning first in archery (again Bracket 2), and placed first in Enlightened Monstrosities Bracket 2.
Deeper Information (Can maybe find out via RP)
Age: She is 26. Her birthday is Hammer 3, 1362 DR
Where She Hails From: Edynislava comes from a small village of little consequence in Halruua.
Other Details:
- She prefers to be called Ed or Edy. Edyni, Eden, or any similar sounding nickname is also acceptable to her. Only the village elders back home would call her Edynislava.
- Magic doesn't impress her. She saw enough magic back home in Halruua to know that magic is just a basic way of life. Anyone who thinks differently is just fooling themselves.
- Preferring to look to the brighter side of life, Edy likes to help and keep an even head on her shoulders.
- As a Shield and Fist for Yondalla, she's learned to enjoy abundance when it's available and to keep a keen eye out for when such abundance is not shared with those less fortunate. Home and hearth are important, even if they are not Hin.
- After leaving Halruua, she traveled to Luiren and spent some months there at the temple in Ammathluir. She learned the basics of the Hin Fist, the masters there eager to teach someone divine blessed by Yondalla their ways. Seeing signs from her goddess Edy traveled further and ended up in Cormyr and the small burg of Shallybrook.
- Edy's letters home
Potential Character Connections for new PCs:
For any of these please contact me in advance via PMs or on Discord to coordinate histories.
- Potential opening for her sister to be played by another player, but they would have to be a sorcerer or wizard class. A dwarf connected to her sister can also be played, but backgrounds would have to be coordinated.
- Open for other siblings or relatives from the Feralburrow family to be played by PCs.
- She has an elder distant cousin that lives in Scornubel (by elder I do mean grandmother/father aged), potential there for other related-yet-not-heavily-tied-to-family-in-Halruua Feralburrow's to pop up who are related to her distant cousin.
----- DM Centric Info Below This Point ----
- Her mother and father passed away about 15 years ago during a flash flood that tore through the nearby farmlands. She and her sister ((maybe more siblings)) were taken in by the small temple to Yondalla and were raised by the priestess there. Edy took well to the temple life and early on felt a certain devotion to the Hin goddess and what she represented. A little over one year after the temple took them in, she was allowed to become an Acolyte in the service of Yondalla.
- Edy left Halruua due to her sister. Her sister wished to marry a dwarf. The village elders disallowed for it as they wished her sister to have children who potentially could have magic abilities. While Edy was originally of two minds -- Yondalla would ask for tradition and to have more Hin born -- the moment she saw her sister was happy with her beloved dwarf, she sided with her sister.
When Edy confronted the village elders on this, one of the elders said that Yondalla was "just a minor god to keep the Hin placated" and that her sister was "just a base wh*re". After they pulled Edy off of the village elder, her having stuck him in the face with her fists twice, she was punished by being assigned a task. She was told she was to find "a good husband for her sister".
Edy left the village with no intention of finding her sister a husband and never returned. She now wanders the face of Faerun in the name of Yondalla.
- The burrow of Yondalla in her home village is run by a "Shieldmaster", an older retired paladin of the order who saw early on Edy's connections with their goddess were already strong.
- The Feralburrow's use a wolverine as a general family symbol. It comes from one of their ancestors who was said to have a wolverine companion. Legend has it that anyone entering their family burrow with willful ill intent would find "a feral greeting of teeth, claw, and blade", thus the moniker Feralburrow.
- The signs that Edy saw from Yondalla that set her on her path to Cormyr were a mix of several things; Dreams where she saw herself traveling on a road. A swirl of dandelion seeds flowing in a northwest direction despite the way the winds were actually blowing. A black bear appearing at a fork in the road and gently nudging her down one of the paths. An overturned fruit cart where the fruit on the ground formed an arrow pointing down a particular street (yes, of course, Edy helped the poor fruit cart vendor get on his feet again).
Mechanics: Monk/Paladin DEX base multiclass. Intending to aim for 12 levels of Monk and 8 of Paladin by level 20. Post epics should be straight Monk but might dip back into Paladin for RP reasons.
Plot Hooks: None so far. This little Hin is just now getting her feet wet.
