*A paladin of Lathander sits quietly within the Morningmist Hall, praying for resolve, that the light of dawn on this new day bring hope for a rosy future*
"From death comes life, and there will always be another morning. For in the dawn, beauty reigns, and the way is clear."

As he departed Morningmist Hall that day the sun rose across the sky changing from dawn to morning, to Highsun, through the afternoon and dusk, beyond sunset into the evening, and well after midnight until nearly moondark. The day was long and the battles were hard-fought. Victory was at hand, but for one in particular there was no rest until his duties were finished.
As others celebrated in taverns recalling tales of their adventure and the challenges that were overcome, a young man walked the streets of Valkur's Roar alone. His armor and cloak showed signs of acidic corrosion, his face covered in lines where the sweat and dirt intertwined, and despite his best efforts his joyful expression was replaced with exhaustion.
He collected the body of one of the deceased, a commoner recruited into the Skatterhawk levies who had manned the ballista at the Southwestern Gate, and who had fallen under his command. He carried the body to the Mortuary within the Great Hall, said a prayer, as well as an apology, before departing.
He called his faithful steed and rode north to Marsember, returning to the Morngingmist Hall where his day had begun. The High Morninglord Chansobal Dreen smiled and greeted him, and received a somber smile and little more in return. The young man, with a weary body and spirit, took a seat and began to pray when a voice entered his mind.
"You can't protect them all, Lheo. Though I know that you tried. The balance of the scale for the ones you lose will always feel heavier than the scale for the ones you save. That is a sign of true and good heart. So dwell not, and take solace in knowing that so many will rise with the dawn of the next day...because of you. If you let it, that will fill you, and that, will be enough."
