A halfling woman in a purple cloak distributes a number of small posters in places commonly frequented by adventurers, including local inns, bounty and job boards, etc. Each is decorated with a little drawing of a scarecrow with a pumpkin for a head.
"Well, I told them we should cast a wide net, and I meant it. I'm sure no one'll mind that I put their names on it, right...?"

Seeking information on 'the Herald' / 'The Pumpkin-King', and/or its capture. Appears as a scarecrow with a jack-o'-lantern for a head. Capable of speech, planar travel, and often accompanied by undead and a cold fog.
The Pumpkin-King is made from undead souls of bards enslaved by an extraplanar being called 'Lazarus'. It is privy to the location a dark ritual will be performed upon All-Hallows' eve, with grave consequences.
Information on the nature of the ritual or its location should be forwarded to Morana (church of Jergal, gray robes), Henrik (cleric of Ilmater, Triadic Order, white cloak), or Katherine (RCMH, Thunderstone). Reward available for NEW, pertinent information, or capture of intact Pumpkin-King.
