DM Q&A: Cleric of tempus and helms

I noted the following in lore for clerics of tempus
"They always took care to never wear helms or headgear that covered their face however,[112] that was considered profane emulation of Tempus' likeness."

Would the DMS say that means no helms should be worn, or would helms or hoods that show faces be permitted.

Heya DOT,

Thanks for the question. You are correct that several sources speak about the clergy of Tempus wearing open-faced helms but there's also consideration for the selection of helm appearances within the game. I'd say you're welcome to RP your interpretation of the faith and class based on that information depending on how zealous your character is, and would only recommend choosing anything but a fully enclosed "helm" as those would likely be viewed unfavorably by the members of the Church.
