Hi, new here. I have a question. Multiclassing monks being required to be in a monk order. Does that mean it is impossible to multi-class to monk of you start with another class?
Thank's

Yes and no.
Basically a character -can- still take monk levels -if- there multiclassing options are still met by the order they are, when taking monk levels. A example of this is if you are a cleric of Illmater, you are a level 1 cleric, then you can be part of the broken order and take monk on level 2.
This doesn't work however if the conditions of the order is not met, so if you are say a level 1 fighter, level 3 wizard, there are no orders that allow you to take monk at that point, due to order multiclassing allowances. As well some orders require level ranges, so a follower of Shar could join the Dark Moon order as a level 1 or 2 sorc, but when they took level 3 sorc, they could no longer take monk levels.

Hello and welcome zandel , Thank you for the question. For the classes like Monks and Paladins who have multiclassing restrictions based on their Order ( see Server Rule 21 Expanded - Character Creation Rules), a player would first need to take all the levels/classes they want within the multiclassing allowance. They would then need to notify the DM Team of their intent to leave the Order and cease progressing as a Monk/Paladin if they want to multiclass outside of the allowance going forward. Monks and Paladins that do not belong to an Order must be pure Monks/Paladins until they decide to multiclass, and must also notify the DM Team and not progress as a Monk/Paladin thereafter. If you already have classes that are not aligned with an Order, you cannot enter into Monk/Paladin. I hope that answers your question, and let us know if there's anything else we can help with.
