At the entrance to the Dark Wood, a corpse of a drow was found by a group of adventurers. It had sustained many injuries before death and it looked to have been dragged a long way in the sunlight, it's skin almost burned and brittle. It laid in a pool of it's own blood and it had a large indentation in it's head.
A trail of blood lead all the way back to a shrine of the Fair Folk, deep in the Tun. Various papers where scattereda bout - now unreadable - due to the large amounts of rain damage. Who knows what secrets could have been uncovered.

*The dark clad adventurer squats down and inspects the body closely, prodding the dead drow's skin with a finger and frowns a bit. He hasn't seen a beating like this in a long long time. The savage brutality of the beating this filthy creature would have endured made his stomach turn.
He leans forward and squints. There's something sticking out of it's lips. Looks like the corner of a playing card of some kind. He pinches the very tip of the parchment and gently pulls it from from the dead carcasses lips, unrolls it and looks over the image printed there.
He glances back to his his companions and furtively tucks the message in a side pocket.
The trio then continue on their march, oblivious to further signs*
