Sir Callen,
I write this letter to you to bring a certain elf by the name of Jia to your attention. She speaks neither Common nor Chondathan, seeming to only know her mother tongue. I bring this elf to your attention because she is a danger to any would-be traveller in Cormyr.
Jia, a few of my comrades and I were making a trip to Redmist, when the elf was suddenly attacked by a pack of wolves that were mauling her rather brutally. We immediately came to her aid and slew the beasts. She spouted some elven and went out of her way to lure some rather dangerous beasts to attack us, while she ran for the hills. A Dawnbringer in our group was slain due to the treachery, though we were lucky enough to bring her to the temple in Redmist in time before her soul passed on.
An elven companion in our group later explained that the woman Jia became upset when we decided to defend ourselves from the wolves and decided that we warranted death, even though the wolves attacked her and none within our group. We managed to hold our own, though a less experienced group would have been slaughtered due to the actions of thisdeluded woman. I felt that she had to be brought to your attention, as she is a very real danger to any she might travel with. I have nothing but the utmost respect for nature, so I assure you that these are not the words of an aggravated hunter, but rather a concerned paladin of Tyr. Cormyr's roads are not safe as they are, and even less so with this woman about.
