Magelord,
I know in the past you and I have not always agreed on matters nor on how our vows could best be fulfilled in service to the Crown. With this disagreement respect never failed and it is for this reason I write to you now with a request that I might be able to better aid one of the Crown's precious allies, the Dwarven Clan of Oghrran.
Some time ago, before my Apprenticship had even ended the portal on the dwarfhome side of the connection between there and the Hall in their former camp has been sealed. The connection within the Hall in their former camp, which is now held by drow, remains unsealed. The portal in the Hall is extremely well guarded and I have seen its guardian utterly desemate forces of drow that were able to cut one of the most powerful task-forces the Corps ever rallied to pieces. In short, the portal in the dwarven Hall is secure until such a force of drow amasses that they could simply march out through one of the mundane entrances to the underdark to conquer.
However, because the current dwarfhome's portal in the connection is sealed the dwarves still yet take losses trying to recover the isolated bands of survivors that have not yet been captured by the Drow.
I was informed by the dwarves that you were the one responsible for the sealing of the gate... and I ask that you respond to this missive with information on how to unseal it, that the dwarves may have their stuggle eased. The Crown will benefit greatly from the dwarves enhanced ability to consolidate their numbers as the danger from below will have that much stronger a guardian warding it off... and the increased goodwill between the Crown and its longstanding ally can only bring good things.
It is my true hope you will aid me in this endeavor Magelord, for it is long overdue and will benefit both the Oghrran and Cormyr.
