Council of Isinhold,
Since the time of my arrival its been plain to my attention that the militia of this town are sorely under-equiped in regards to the level of danger their positions sometimes entail. I have personally seen adventurers spilling each others blood in the streets, demons rampage among the houses, Zents force their way into the the village to slay and burn... among many other threats. The militia need to be better protected so they can in turn better protect the village and the honest residents in it, be they citizen, adventurer or merchant.
I've inquired in the past as to why the village gains from the merchant liscencing have not been used to at least grant the militiamen with breastplates and stouter shields, and to which reply I've been given no reason but much sidestepping. If the village has had to use this money to keep it free from political oppression from its neighbors then so be it... from what I can see for whatever reason, the coin has not gone to the village's defenses... and I do suspect that no small amount of it goes to the sad need to raise its citizenry after the many attacks the village suffers.
With this in mind I hereby extend my offer to fund the outfitting of every militiamen in good steel armor of masterwork quality, with a shield of like quality should their choice of weapon allow. For this I ask only their continued service to the village with the same steadfastness they've shown over previous years.
Should my offer be accepted, simply approach me while I do business in the square or leave missive with Kale in the Regal Griffon so that arrangements can be made for the equiping to be done and paid for.
