A heavily armored dwarf is seen in the Bramblewood near Greatgaunt tossing up pixie bodies into the air and whacking them with a heavy mace that freezes the bodies upon impact and breaks the frozen corpses to bits sending them throughout the forest. The dwarf is heard laughing as he continues with his gruesome task and mutters about elfish witches. Some foresters beg him to stop, but the mad dwarf asks if they want to end up like the pixies. They flee to Greatgaunt and word soon spreads about his vile actions.

When word reaches Kaelyth, she attempts to quietly track the dwarf in question. She tends to stay in the Bramblewood when not meeting with friends in Greatgaunt, and starts searching the forest as best she can - hoping to locate the dwarf and observe him from a distance without engaging him directly.

Rumors spread fast as a fairy noble, her guardian, and a little pixie descend upon Greatgaunt. The noble declares that the dwarf known as Furin is known to be hunting fey and any that deliver his head to the court will be rewarded. The fey fly away leaving tongues wagging. Some townsfolk grumble about the misfortune that Furin the Cursed has brought down upon them. Others begin watching every dwarf in town wondering if they can nab a big reward. Waric drinks from his flask and offers to let people know where Furin stays until adventuring folk babble loudly about him keeping the fence up by the inn in Shallybrook.

And in Shally, where the bath house out flow does not run into the town's main well. And where cousin loving inbred hicks don't stand around all day whittlin, spittin and drinkin armor polish. All is well...

Runa may or may not be seen prowling around the Bramblewood or hovering in a few of her favourite trees there, monitoring the forest for anymore unusual activity.
