A great explosion rocked the town of Valkur's Roar. Flames rose high into the sky. Bits of the Tipsy Imp fly through the air! The smell of burning gas was thick in the area. A bucket brigade was formed and eventually after a lot of effort the flames were doused. Some enter the building, but coughing a lot exit shortly after. Smoke pours throughout the Northeast quadrant of Valkur's Roar and rumors fly about the town. Some say that it was a cow that the owner kept in the basement that kicked over a lantern. Some say a disgruntled gnome was seen setting some sort of gnomish device because gnomes are vicious creatures with destructive habits! Word flits about Suzail and Shallybrook about the Triadic Knights of the Hand of Atonement trying to murder Dark hope, the once famed bard, in his sleep.
One thing is for sure the Tipsy Imp is closed for business until the finest contractor can be found with the lowest bid to repair the smoke and fire damage after all the smoke is aired out of the premises.
Talbot offers his establishment to feed and house Sophie and her fellow Imp colleagues. Owner Keerla pays to send them all to go to Suzail, but Talbot's offer does seem to attract the attention of the staff of the Imp and since it's far closer Sophie and her pals bunk over at Talbot's. Carla, Talbot's sassy curly brown haired waitress, seems to be upset, but is happy when Sophie gives her a tip. Business at Talbot's seems to be on the uptick now that Valkur's Roar has only one inn and tavern now. Talbot sends an offer of old fixtures to the Imp's owner at a "fair price" now that there is a demand for such resources.

*After some time has passed, and the embers settle, a note is sent to the owner of the property and also pinned to the front of the building. It reads:*
To the fine owner of the Tipsy Imp Inn and Tavern - Keerla,
Esteemed establishments such as this one cannot let fall by the wayside and sit in it's own ash. I offer you my services and resources in order to rebuild and recover what is lost. I conduct business often along the ports in Valkurs Roar and my men often look to the Tipsy Imp for a roof to keep over their heads when they spend time in the city.
Please send your reply addressed to the name below at the Drowning Flagon in Marsember. My people will see that I hear from you.
*there is a seal stamped to the bottom of the letter with a talon grasping a green gem*

A war wizard appears before the Tipsy Imp. He rolls his eyes and sighs. Then he places his staff upon the cobblestones and begins uttering incantations. Walls of force surround the premises blocking off all from the building. The war wizard touches a ring to the wall and walks through it as if it was air. A pocket of clear air appears to surround the War Wizard as he examines the location and walks inside the building.

Keerla had spent most of the night cleaning the inside of the Inn with Dela and others, stopping to collect the notes sent or left for her. Reading them she shares the contents with her companions. As for Talbots offer, Keerla says the quality of his fixtures do not meet the standards of the imp and but she will remember his "kind" offer once she is open again. Keerla was also helping to clear the smoke when the wizard traps them inside. Coughing as she wraps a cloth about her face she asks "Can I help you?"
Lambrac can occasionally be seen approaching the Tipsy. He leans against the local wall and makes notes of the comings and goings in a black pocket book. He sometimes stands for hours, not speaking. Just silently watching the happenings.

The war wizard spots the two and speaks, “This is now the spot of an official investigation by the Crown. You will leave this place directly. Any deviations from the instruction I just gave and judgement shall be rendered against you as the culprit attempting to cover your tracks.”

*Turning to the wizard* "As legal owner of the property I've right to be informed of any investigation or charges affecting my property" Putting fists on her hips. "So may I ask why you are kicking us out?"

The war wizard repeats, “This is now the spot of an official investigation by the Crown. You will leave this place directly. Any deviations from the instruction I just gave and gave again and judgement shall be rendered against you.”
Dela folds her arms watching the war wizard. "This is also a home to us, and you came in unannounced, without notice. if you wish to remove me, you will have to do so by force, right now, while i do not have any chance to disturb your crime scene."
Dela looks to Keerla and says: "and you will not follow me to jail. you wil leave nicely as the war wizard says".
// i am very sad to see that this is progressing with no IC rp possible, no proper possibility for the people tending to the inn to help invesigate whatsoever. i am stomping my foot here, this is a disgrace.

Keerla leaves as ordered by her wife, stopping to kiss her on the way out. "Dela I will be taking this up with the war wizards directly. I will also be getting House Onoloth involved." *Glares at the wizard on her way out.*

The war wizard looks at Delaclya and states, “I am a War Wizard. A duly appointed official of the crown. You do not own this place. The Crown owns it. Turn yourself in and accept to be teleported or there will be consequences.”
A young tethyrian man is seen at the scene, staring horrified at the smoking ruin hidden in magic walls like some twisted snowglobe.
Soon after, he's going around the district and gathered crowd of gawkers, asking around what happened and if anyone saw anything? Was anyone hurt? Were there anything suspicious going on, were strange folk seen leaving the scene?
Despite making best effort to maintain his usual, cheery attitude, Marcus does seem bit shaken as he goes about it.

A very large man in Dragon Scale Plate Armor can be seen at the scene of the fire. He says "Had to see it for myself. Can't say I'm disappointed to see this place burn. Maybe it will be torn down for good." He sighs "That's wishful thinking. While I'm busy making wishes, maybe whoever did this will burn down Alazarin next. That would be nice."

On his way down from the mountains heading toward the 'Sea Queens due' Sylus wrinkles his nose offering a brief glare at the war wizard, shakes his head and mutters, "Never would have happened if Mara was still around, maybe they'll put in a bakery..." He then arrives to his destination, leaves a few coins on the tithe plate and watches the sea being mindful of the roaming red crab.

The day after the fire Mynian spends a good portion of the morning cooped up in the Great Hall writing reports and letters as yet another thing is exploded in Valkur's Roar. Sometimes she's seen just shaking her head, then barking an odd laugh to herself, in some odd form of frustration.
Once done she goes about to the North East Quarter, getting a better look of the after damage in full daylight and wincing at the sight. She'd shake her head writing down some details in a ledger. After she would wander the quarter, checking in on the merchants to see if they were alright (especially nearby hin merchant Froidoc) and checking the general state of the people.
By the end of the day, tuckered out again but with no rooms available at Talbot's, she heads to get sleep at the Great Hall.

The War Wizard finishes his investigation after dealing with pretentious adventurers. The walls disappear around the Tipsy Imp. He teleports back to the War Wizard tower. There he relaxes as he files the findings and gets back to his research.

After a short visit to the War Wizards tower in Suzail with a couple of others, Mynian comes back to the Roar with a somewhat concerned look on her face.
In the morning, notices go flying out from the Great Hall. Some to the various sewer inspectors and others to those by the docks with a general order to check all sewer grates and points of exit of sludge by the river and the bay.
The order is to check for blockage or other signs of blockage and to release any pockets of gas that may be found. Those who come across a notice would see it mention of the Night of the South Winds perhaps flooding the sewers with debris or any number of "things" happening in the Sewers over the last two years.
Additional emphasis is made on "not having a repeat of what happened at the Imp". And how they were "lucky that no lives were lost". "Air out the sewers" is repeated a few times.

Various sewer jacks explore the sewers at Minister Cooperhands request. Vents begin the release giant clouds of built up gas. Townsfolk complain, but are thankful that this will hopefully prevent future issues. A foul stinking dwarf makes a report to Minister Copperhand.
