I would like to recommend that the door to GG be moved to being the first area door available on the left hand side of the welcome room.
Have it very clearly marked as the low level starter area. Every other door can remain in alphabetical order from left to right.
Alternatively if the center orb is to remain where it is so people can read it then have a placeable behind it for people to transport to GG.
....we're all strung out, worn out, dog-tired-of-the-real-world players and sometimes don't notice we're going through the wrong door on a good day. Please change it before it becomes the last straw on someone's back. >.<

i would also suggest the GG door just look different from all the others that will help after we all adjust and that new people will notice it right off the bat until it becomes muscle memory like for the rest of us...I did oops to

Giving the GG door a different appearance might make it easier for new players. As far as the door layout, I suggest shifting the doors from Greatgaunt to Marsember one space clockwise. This would put GG back to where people are used to seeing it, while keeping everything alphabetical.

Or...or maybe, maybe the great room of revolving doors is simply changed to a single room with a portal! And...that portal pops up a conversation that asks you where you want to go!

Not the portal stuff, but the Greatgaunt door has another appearance and more arrows lead to it. ... and the welcome area theme has been updated as well. This new one should work for the next months or so.

When I was a new player I think someone suggested going to Graurgaunt. Experienced hands know where to go. If you were brand new even a sign saying "Start in Gaurgaunt if you are level 1" would really help.
From when I wrote factory manuals its about "reading for how it could misunderstood."

Let's make it user friendly for new players, something doesn't right by a new player/character going into the closest door and just encountering something impossibly difficult.... arrows or no arrows

I'm so used to the Greatgaunt door being in a specific place, I've almost walked into High Horn twice because the Greatgaunt door was moved.

High Horn isn't on that script IIRC... any other missing cities?
