A Long Days Journey into the Shug

Shug was never meant to be married. 
Born into the Hammerfell clan, Shug quickly made his mark by bullying the lesser Dwarves with his impressive strength and expert directional farts - Blaming others for his flatulence. 
No sooner had he made his way to the top of his class, then events outside his understanding made him available for a matrimonial engagement to a lassie of the Firebeard clan.

Despite his initial protests to his Ma and Pa, Shug was soon swayed - when he beheld his wife to be... a fire red haired lass, all bosom, beard, and backside.
Included in the marriage arrangements, were several cattle, many chickens, and a goat. The nuptial's happened before Shug learned to read - But he signed his life away that day.

Hammerdale is a small hamlet east of Waterdeep, by a few weeks travel. Shug and Daisy (His wife) , settled there on a farm. Soon came a child. Then another. And another. 
In fact, thirteen children were born by the time Shug developed the wanderlust. 

It started innocently at first. Daisy would remind Shug to put the seat down in the bog after it's use. Or, remind him if he had not washed his hands. 
Soon after, came the incessant demands, and constant belittling. Shug tried his best to manage her expectations. But soon he would crack.

A local caravan one day had a seat sale - To Waterdeep -  Shug looked at what he had provided for his family, and decided to flee.

From Waterdeep, with many nights spent in the pubs and taverns, Shug fell asleep one evening, and sadly, drunkenly woke up in The Cormanthor. (a caravan mishap)
It was there, in the Dalelands he met such characters as Ryferth the Mage, Dylan the Half Orc, and even Billy the Hin.
But it was also in these lands, Daisy his ex wife got word of his antics and location. She now pursues him. (It's understood the children are all safe.)

Shug and Ryferth the Mage, quickly became solid friends. Ryferth would make sure Shug would consume less drink before a conflict, by using a cantrip to make just the rim of his pint glass or tankard taste of alcohol, and the rest of the contents simply water. Shug kept Ryferth safe by swinging his axe. It Seemed a fair deal for the old and twitchy mage.

It was in Shugs first adventure beyond Sembia and the Dalelands with Ryferth...that he met the Dwarf clan that would change his future in Cormyr. Shug now desired to become trained as a Dwarven Defender. The problem now lay in his past, his wife, his children... and a recent meet up with a Devil in disguise and a Keg of plenty!

Following is a list of actions Shug has performed in his pursuit of being more Lawful:

-Introduced and began training with Arak of the Oghram clan. Made nut and berry shortbread and shared with clan at a meeting. They sadly remained untouched.

-Helped the refugees in Valkurs Roar, during the time of the Cloudstone Incidents. Gave up his supply of food and water.

-Rushed to the defense on the attack on Immersea. Coordinated with others to lead the influx of the homeless people to the Healing Temple, and helped Father G.
His nut and berry shortbread did not go over well, even though the homeless were starving.

-Helped guard a portal in the Druids Grove, during the Underdark attack. He left his shortbread at home.

-Spent the day at an Orphanage, trying to encourage children to trust him.

-Defended Greatgaunt from an undead attack. Provided first aid to Father G, and attempted to raise his soul back with a scroll Shug had learned by memory. (Shug cannot read, hence his need to rely on his dodgy memory. This also could explain ingredients/flavors in the "recipe" of his Shortbread).

-Forsaked his reckless ways publicly on numerous occasions, but only when sober.

-Reached out to a messenger service to track down his ex-wife Daisy and began saving for an alimony.

-Overcame the urge to drink from his "Magic Keg" right after breakfast, by developing the feat of "Iron Will".

-Participated as a volunteer fire brigade member in the explosion at the Tipsy Imps' Tavern. Brought water to the bar staff victims, and continues the search for the Piano Player.

-Burned his Nut and Berry Shortbread recipe, vowing to shop local instead.
