Throughout the city there seems to be an increase in homeless and hungry people walking the streets.

As is her usual want to do, Mynian Copperhand is seen walking through the streets of Valkur's Roar trying to help find places for people to stay at, even if for only a short time. Having heard of the supply caravan of incoming cheeses being attacked, she spends the other half of the day and eve talking to local marketers and warehouses of any shored up food stores. The following morning, letters get send out from the Great Hall heading to the major cities, directed to one noble house or another.

Tenna of Ilmater seems to be exclusively in Valkur's Roar of late when not taking short walks to Greatgaunt for breaks and supplies. The healer deals with illness and injury among the homeless and poor when she can, but her food resources are much more limited.

During her usual morning walks about the city, Mynian gets to chatting with a few of the regular citizens, trying to see if any of them have heard of a solid reason for the sudden influx. She takes most of what she hears with a grain of salt, knowing rumor would be abound.
She'd pause for a bit to talk with Tenna, thank her for her aid, and mention any places in the city that Mynian might have spotted where help was needed.
If no easy answers come her way, she'd find some of the homeless that might look unfamiliar to her and strike up a conversation with them, finding out where they might be from or why they are under the circumstances they are in.
... she offers a little bit of coin to any who might be reluctant to talk.

Siphanien seems to aid Tenna where possible, aiding her with herbology, medical supplies and, needs be, surgury.

In recent days usually in the dead of night boxes of Rothe meat are left in the slums of Roar. //OOC provided DMs are fine with following action// *catching wind of the meat being left, she quickly pushes to have the guards confiscate the meat and have it tested for poisons first* *if not poisoned or otherwise diseased, Mynian has the meats rationed out more evenly between the more needier households, the majority indeed being within the slums, along with the following read out loud to receivers if they are unable to read* Cooking Roth Meat
Cut in thin slices Soak in Salt Water Cure in salt if possible Cook well Will be bittersweet in taste DO NOT EAT RAW

Several folk dressed in forest green are seen delivering baskets of fruit and vegetables to the Great Hall in Valkur's, addressed to Mynian.

//OOC again, vague NPC reactions until a DM chimes in ///
As more food donations come in, Mynian can be seen with a bodyguard or two nearby getting the food rationed out to more people in the city. Though the baskets and meat from earlier end up not lasting too long in a city with somewhere around 8000 to 9000 people in it, the temporary satiating of hunger keeps the citizens calm.
... at least around the Minister they are.

Often any stroll through the city is met by people begging, even children. People are muttering comparing the downturn in the cities fortunes to those bleak days when the city was known as Red Mist. Even a few of the local merchants have now taken to hiring private guards as a measure of security.

Those wandering the city of Valkur often comment of the bands of the impoverished warming themselves beside heaps of burning refuse. Many have noted that the rats have grown overly bold as of late and there are angry mutterings about the perils of walking the streets late at night.

"'ave yeh seen Captain Wrenn about?" Mynian asked more than once over the last couple of tendays of the guards around the Great Hall. While Mynian suspected some things of their missing Captain, there was little to be done for it now. After one morning, postings are put up, specifically placed next to an older faded message about cooking rats. Work Offered For City Clean Up The Minister of the City Interior
offers pay for the following:
Clean up of Trash - 5 lions per barrel
Please bring barrels to North West Quarter West Side of Gate South Alley
Contact Mynian Copperhand For Pay
Those with Adventuring Charters Do Not Apply Pay is for registered citizens of Valkur's Roar Only

Tenna of Ilmater still spends most of her time ministering to the sick and injured, and spending some Endure Elements spells to warm those who might have to spend the night outside. Now, however, when she makes a trip elsewhere she brings back food, the small elf able to carry a deceptively large amount of it. Most tends to be stock rations.

The relief wagons are seen through out the city of Valkur. Long silent lines of the hungry stand in que to receive the bowl of the famous "thin soup". Still the lines of people seem almost never ending even taxing the Ilmaterian aid.

A tall human, male walks through those gathered. He chews upon an unlit cigar. He passes out smoked meats, onions, coppers and silvers. He can be overheard saying such things as, "Take solace in this, it could be worse." and "Find your own way. Following others is to invite folly."

In response to the plight there has been a huge influx of food items from the local farms into Valkur and yet still long lines of the hungry remain. Of note the merchant house of Lester, one of the first to respond has even re-doubled their efforts to supply fresh produce to all. Still long lines of desperate people wait patiently for at relief wagons.
With each passing day people see fewer birds and many a cherished pet cat and dog have also gone missing. Many trees are missing strips of bark and even the ubiquitous ever-present rats have disappeared.

In the farms and fields around Valkur many signs are now posted warning people not to trespass. the once lush orchards and vineyards have been nearly picked clean of produce.

"As the days drag on more and more people can be seen lining up for food, handouts, and whatever they can get. Weary and exasperated mothers coddle their crying hungry children and mens stomachs groan for lack of food. Farmhands who were once busy at work in the crops are now seen on the streets as well.
The wealthy and more established citizens of the Roar are suddenly publicly present less and less as horse drawn wagons have been seen in some parts of the city at some residences loading and carrying possessions away out the gates and towards what seems like Suzail."

High Mage Pollyanna walks the streets of Roar a look of what could be concern? frustration? or maybe disgust on her face as she watches the goings ons. Moments later a child attempts pickpocket her, the childs' wrist grabbed quickly, his arm twisted behind his back. The high mage whispers something into the boys' ear, he pales immediately, she then hands him a few nibs and some smoked fish before he runs like the dickens away.
Shortly after Pollyanna could be heard talking, mostly to herself... it would seem.
"I get tall'uns eat a lot, being so big and all it makes sense but...this is different..is something else going on here, but what?"

A song, accompanied by a violin, can be heard drifting through the alleys of the city's docks quarter during the night.
Crown of Silver your face is so red with all of your gold your poor should be fed you take our taxes, your men loud with their laughter never really caring just what comes after
Your people are starving, but your back is still turned while your meat you're carving, but your back is still turned soon boots will be marching, and your city will burn
And the time has come for you my friends to all this poverty we must put an end while we starve we must make a stand, oh....make a stand
Petty nobles, you crawl to your lairs your security lies in the metal gates there you act concerned but then why turn away when a beggar was beat on your doorstep today
Well our babies are crying but your back is still turned and our old are dying but your back is still turned you better stop your hiding or your city will burn
And the time has come for you my friends to all this suffering we must put an end and before we die we must make a stand, oh....make our stand

Two figures - clad in the black-trimmed white of the Triadic Order, one of them easily identified as Henrik and the other, his Curate Anna Larsson - are spotted walking the city quarters in conversation and studying the situation of poverty over the space of a day and night in Valkurs Roar. They help where they see need, but their intent focus seems to be investigation. They appear in the early stages of a planning meeting with the Tormtar priestess leading the initiative and the Ilmateri brother supporting with his experience and knowledge of the area. // Raven DM Maleficent's Kiss Aoi

*Outside of the IMP* At sunsire, oatmeal is served with smoked meat and a hard tack biscut. When the sun is about to set, fishcakes and steamed cattail roots are seved to the needy. *A tall human chewing upon an unlit cigar dismisses the advantageous avententurers in line. He marks the hands of those that are truely in need.* He can be overheard saying, "The Imp can alway use laundry washed, floors mopped, gutters cleaned and those with keen ears to weigh future bards. For those that have pride and wish to work." *He posts a sheet to sign*
