Hair Colour: Black, worn in one, heavy braid that falls down the centre of her back to her waist.

A deep, wide scar, only a few months along in healing properly follows the shape of her right shoulder blade, stopping just at the top of the same shoulder. If she overuses her arm or in times of prolonged, damp weather, it becomes difficult to move, causing it to slump awkwardly.
On her left, ring finger is a slender wedding band made of silver, inlaid with two, small, red garnets.
Class: Ranger
Profession: Guardian
Faith: Silvanus
Personality: Runa can be difficult to get to know. Her deep dislike of cities and towns always sets her on edge causing replies to seen unfriendly. To her husband and friends she is ready to offer her dry sense of humour to most conversations. Always ready to aid them, as long as it does not go against her personal oath to protect the balance. She is quick to offer healing herbs, and the mild healing potions she has made from them to those in need freely. Her zeal towards protecting the wilds and following the teachings of the Treefather often sets her against what she considers typical human morality. The only exception being her intense dislike of snakes. Her commitment to a balanced faulters when it involves Thayans, for whom she has an intense hatred.
Background: She was born to Rashemi parents, who had fled their homeland and the frequent border skirmishes with Thay several years prior, to settle on the outskirts of Highmoon, the capital of Deepingdale. Her parents packed their weapons away, becoming farmers. Runa would be told stories of their life back in Rashemen, taught to fear the Thayan's and their slave collars.
Runa had an inborn curiosity for the natural world. As a child she often made her way towards the Arch-Wood to play among the trees without fear for the owlbears that populated the forest. She was often a source of amusement for the tribe of wild elves who called the forest home.
Gradually these same elves took Runa under their tutelage. They became a second family in many ways. Imparting their wisdom of respecting and protecting the wilds, the use of a longbow, and keeping herself unseen. It is through her close relationship with the sy-tel-quessir that the seed of discomfort within most towns and cities was planted. They also taught her the cant of hand signals used to pass messages between one another without making a sound. While they trusted her, became close friends with the child then young woman, they always held back teaching her the True Tongue.
From that time forward she became caught between two worlds. Human in appearance and talk yet more closely identifying with the life and teachings of wild elves. Never quite fitting in with either.
