Kayiram Arniman, Kay to those he trusts, is not a clever man, but he know how to get around. Born and raised on the road, he is from a family of "merchants". Being not always successful, his family often resorted to... less than legal methods of money-making. His surname is not his own, as his parents never told him theirs. Kayiram is uncertain if they knew their own surname. Kayiram, being young and quick, suited his parent's need for a quick-handed accomplice. he took to it easily, but also took to the merchants trade. Giving off an air of carelessness, Kayiram is careful to make the best deal he can in any circumstance, though he can sometimes fail. But he is young, and will learn. He is determined to be a successful merchant, and must make all the contacts he can in the new land he has arrived in.
