I was wondering.... with Usurper moving onto FRC2... does that mean FRC is not going to get the horses he was working on?

No. I am working this weekend to try and put his system in place. We have a system. It is now a matter of integration.

So with these new horses, will we be able to take them up to a trot or a gallop? As running on foot is severely frowned upon due to difficulty of DM interaction with players (as well as the impracticalities of running in armour), won't be the same be true for mounted individuals? And if we can have horses but only ride them at walking pace then can I have a pack mule instead?

We have always maintained that practically anything done in character is acceptable as long as it doesn't ruin the fun of others. So yes, of course you can gallop on the horses. We will even have little ponies for the stone bruddas and the hin.

*gears turn in head*
......
*ding!*
Hey! Could there also be riding dogs as well for the wee lil' folks? Would of course depend on how exactly the script worked, but if the creature could be changed to that of some of the larger dog appearances...
Just an idea out of my noggin'. *waves away the smoke that came from her ears*

as cool as that would be, and would love to have it, just not possible right now. The trick of the rideable horse is, that your PC isn't really on top of the horse model. The horse pops out of their tail node. That's right you pull a horse right out of your bum bum. Seriously though, the horse you are riding is a tail attachment. So no has modeled for dogs yet.

Wohoo, horses! ;D Not that Zae would buy one anyways, but I love the idea we can. (Yay for riding dogs! And I demand boars for the dwarves! )

is this the same files that they used in the newest expansion? Yes, it will not require an additional HAK. I am still working on incorporating them into FRC. Cheers!

Out of curiosity, I was wondering if there has been any update/ status on adding the horses to the server?

Yes, you use a URL tag inside of a straight bracket and put URL= then the URL (Internet address). Then close the tag with its corresponding straight bracket, put the word "here" then put the ending of the URL tag, which is /URL inside of straight brackets. When you're done, it should look like this: Click here. Obviously, I can't just type it out or it works as typed, but replace the { with [ and the } with ] in this example: {url=http://www.google.com}click here{/url} Replace all the curly brackets with straight brackets and you'd have a link to google that said "click here".
