Kalthariam was walking slowly towards the Roar, approaching from the west side. He'd been quietly wandering, mostly lost in thought about recent events, and had decided to see where the wind would take him. Prehaps a clue, a revelation, or even just something he could do to try to help. He wasn't going to be picky.
The wind took him from the gaunt towards the Roar, the wind taking him a somewhat different path than he'd normally take, but he followed it nevertheless. Upon reaching the western outskirts of the roar. He stumbled upon some local worgs, with an agitated sigh, he drew his weapons to deal with the threat, but then something he wasn't expecting popped up, a kobold, white-scaled by the looks of it, launched itself at him with a hiss, another Kobold letting loose bolts from nearby, also the same color.
"Kobolds..? What are you lot doing here?" Kalthariam would wonder aloud to himself as he fended them off, he dealt with the one attacking him, but accidently hit it too hard, he heard a crunch which made him wince in regret, as the kobold crumbled to the ground. With a sigh, he turned to the other Kobold. who hissed out an alarm.. but he just stood off against it, staring it down.. the kobold loosened volley after volley of bolts to the blue-clad knight, but it was almost effortless for him to block them* "Come off it, quit it already!" He'd demand of the angry kobold. Then another sound he wasn't expecting came, a loud thudding was heard, quickly approaching with a much deeper hissing noise, he'd turn to look to see the massive beastial lizard launching itself at him. The beast was large and intimidating, but not something the blue knight would struggle with, he downed the beast, quickly, and found himself forced to kill two more kobolds in the process. As he finished, he saw two last kobolds, these one's blue scaled, staring at him from a distance, almost seeming stunned. "You have one chance to run, I'd suggest you take it." He would say to the last two. Somewhat smarter it seems than their now dead companions, the last two kobolds bolted.
Once the quiet settled again, Kalthariam would stumble upon a chewed up mangled body of a merchant. Realizing this must have been the victim of the group, Kalthariam unflurred a scroll and invoked it's magic, bringing the merchant back to life, though dazed. After a short exchange, the merchant offered to rewards Kalthariam, in which he turned down, insisting if the merchant wanted to pay anything monetarily for his rescue, he donate it to the Shrine to Bahamut.
After seeing the Merchant off safely to the Roar, he returned to the kobolds he slain, and searched them. His reward was a strange carving, of a create that had five heads. Looking it over gave him a very nervous, and unsettling feeling in his gut. "This.. looks familiar.." He muttered to himself looking around now "Seems letting those two kobolds off the hook might have been a good idea.. they'd probably leave a trail all the way back to their base.." He pondered to himself before looking at the idol again. "I need to find a ranger.. or someone to track them.. and I need to find someone whom can tell me more about this.." He would mutter to himself, before carefully stashing away the five-headed beast carving.
Despite the situation, when Kalthariam left, there would be three small graves made next to the road, all three kobolds he killed were buried off near the trees.
Kalthariam concluded, at the end of all this.. following the wind had been a rather good idea.. a man's life was saved, and he possibly had something that might lead to something very important. He just hoped he could find the people he needed quickly to capitalize off this fortunate event.
"The winds are quite nice tonight indeed.." he thought to himself as he headed off, informing the nearby gate guards of what had occurred, so it could be filed in a report. After all, a man died just to the west of the Roar.. but at least he got better.
