Yes, the actual game. I think we all get so used to just logging into FRC that we forget there is an actual game here and a really good one. I got Darkness over Daggerford on sale for five bucks on Steam and have started the module. Supposed to be a good 25-hour long adventure. It has voiced dialogue and you get to add party members. I'm playing a barbarian/bard and it's good old-fashioned fun that I remember from Hordes of the Underdark years ago.

Darkness over Daggerford is very well done and fun. I wish we had their random encounter system for the caravans here.

I tried doing a restart of the good ol' original some months back and kind of got bored at the first chapter. Maybe I should just take a crack at the adventure packs and not worry about trying to get a PC through the vanilla game.

The original is kind of a slog. I found the expansions to be much more interesting. YMMV.
