*more parchments are left up, right next to the nut butter recipe* Get More Out of Fruit Make Into Jam! That fruit about to rot? Feeling too soft to eat? Turn it to jam!
Ingredients:
1 pound of fruit 3/4 cup of sugar or honey
Instructions: Remove seeds and skin from fruit, cut off any "bad" parts. Cut and mash into mush with mortar and pestle.
Place in wide pot with sugar or honey. Mix well. Put over fire to simmer. Do not overheat if using honey or it will brown too quickly.
Do not leave the pot alone! It can easily over boil. Mix frequently. Skim what floats to the surface. Once to a "jelly" like state put in jars to cool and store. Seal well.
Put on bread to make it last longer. *on the bottom it is ink stamped with the letters MC*
