So while we have the in game crafting system that can help set the market prices, there isn't a "set" way to place what sort of price should go on the more RP centric sort of crafting.
Altering the looks of items via the in game tailoring and dye systems isn't everyone's cup of tea and, along with myself, I know there are players who don't mind doing that sort of work for other players both IC and OOC.
My question is to everyone... what seems like a reasonable asking price for such alterations when 0 gp is being spent to make it? Maybe 1 or 2 gp for the common cloth armor, maybe a little more, but mechanically speaking nothing is spent.
What seems reasonable in exchange for the RL time spent to get things designed and completed?
For me, I can spend anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes designing an outfit in the Aurora Toolset. Then another 15 minutes in game with the tailoring dummies and dye kit to finalize it. So a half hour to 45 minutes each outfit, longer if the order is tricky or a redesign is called for.

You are not using gold but you are using your time and that has a lot of value specially if you miss out on adventuring and leveling up because you spent your 2 hours of playtime crafting up a cool looking outfit.
In the end you need to see what the market will hold and that will depend greatly in how good you are at cooking up good looking things (just like in real life). I would advise start charging low and see if people pay that, say something like 100-200 gold. If they do pay that try raising every time you get a new client (so you don't alienate your old ones), until you notice you start losing clients because of the price and calibrate accordingly.

The toolset or even in one of the orginial campaigns, when you make garments has a final cost which varies on what style and material you use. As Andros said you are putting in your time ic and ooc so a labor charge is fair.
You have a merchant's license so you can get paid for items you make.

That's what I was getting at was labor charges. I guess I just phrased it all wrong with my original post.
After mulling it over, I'll retract my question. In an IC RP sense a seamstress shouldn't be earning that much anyway.
Thanks for the replies.

Nice rp still though you do pay for your materials, your rental space so asking a fee is not unreasonable.
