DM Q&A
So I've noticed that it is possible to access your character vault regardless of what GSID you choose. I wonder, are there any scripts or the like that could malfunction if you chose to log in with a different GSID than what you originally used during character creation? If no, are you allowed to change GSID without violating any server rules?
Thank you.

DM Q&A
So I've noticed that it is possible to access your character vault regardless of what GSID you choose. I wonder, are there any scripts or the like that could malfunction if you chose to log in with a different GSID than what you originally used during character creation? If no, are you allowed to change GSID without violating any server rules? Thank you. To my knowledge there are not scripts on FRC EE that require you to continue using the same Playername (AKA log-in name, formerly a Gamespy ID). On a previous server, I am aware of persistent storage and custom dialogues both requiring the character name and playername to match, but characters on FRC occasionally change names or restart under new Playernames, so that should not be the case here. Your NWN:EE account is tied to your CD Key, so regardless of what Playername you use, you're always still playing on the same account. If you're banned in EE, you're banned by CD Key, not Playername. Note, however, that logging in with a different Playername will cause your character to spawn in a different place, as NWN still tracks persistent character location across log-ins by Playername+Character Name, so logging out and coming back under a different Playername on the same server instance (the same boot) my result in disciplinary action if it's seen as being done with intent to manipulate the location of your character within the module. It's best if you avoid coming back on the same character under different log-ins while the server is on the same boot instance. You can log-in the same character under different Playername/log-in/account names as long as you're not trying to change your character's in-game location or somehow manipulate the DM Team to circumvent other discipline, or, of course, cheat the system in some way I haven't foreseen.
