Certain individuals would note that Lorren Arbuckle has been spending a considerable amount of time in the great hall of late. Always in the company of an official scribe, and never requesting access to anything beyond the authorization of a common citizen. If asked by others, scribes would comment that her requests for records are primarily of a mundane political and economic nature. Particular areas of interest include the registers of the Crownsilvers and other prominent houses of Valkur’s Roar, any available information on House Illance and it’s bannermen, as well as any records pertaining to the imports and exports of the fief within the past decade.
Scribes and officials she has met with would describe her as polite, but possessed of few words. When asked of her interest in the records, she has generally explained it along the lines of “wishing to know all (she) can of the city (she) wishes to serve”, and has thus far observed all rules regarding access to the archives and handling of the documents.

Lorren’s latest visits to the public archives have taken a different direction. Spending less time reviewing records; she has been occupying herself of late writing pages worth of text and charts in a simple leather bound handbook. These hour-long affairs usually end at sundown, with her small book tucked protectively under one arm.
