With the new server in place it looks like we are on the downhill run to a relatively lag free server. Over the next couple of weeks the team will be placing the finishing touches on the FRC module. New quests and areas will be emerging as we finish up the project that has been nearly four years in the making.
It seems apparent now that a server split will most likely be unneccessary. Given a reduction of unneeded resources and the addition of areas, etc that will finish the module, it will be our goal to rework existing and new material into the final version.
FRC will not stop growing and expanding there, but we have definite clear cut goals for the end game at this point - and that is encouraging after so many months of what seemed like a backslide. We were about to start making some very difficult choices regarding the size and scope of FRC and it is with great pleasure that I report we won't have to lose any content.
Our goal now is to make the world richer, more playable to every class and generally improved. Long dormant areas will be coming to life and some places will be outright changed. The coming of CEP2 presents yet another wonderful opportunity for FRC and it is our goal to use the material there to it's fullest.
To new players, welcome to FRC. To veteran players, I think you will find new life in the module you have come to enjoy.
Cheers!

I am most definitely excited that things will be going for the better. And I'm proud that the whole FRC community stuck the serious problems through all they way this far. (Resets every 10 minutes anyone? ) Way to go to the staff and players alike. Huzzah!

I have been blown away by the difference in the server the last couple days since the changes have been made. Just lagwise it's been as good as I've ever seen it, even with lots of people logged on and going as a five member party a couple times. You guys have done some amazing stuff, and I think we all here owe a HUGE thank you for all your time and effort. Thanks for keeping FRC alive and breathing. Now get in there and PLAY. ;D
