Name: Alemhok Szordrin
Race: Human (Mulan)
Height: 6' 1"
Weight: 188 lbs
Eyes: Blue
Distinguishing marks: Grotesque Thayan tattoos covering his bald scalp, face and neck.
Description: A tall, lean, almost emaciated young Mulan. His pate hairless and covered in runic tattoos denoting him a Wizard of Thay cover his bald pate, splash across his face and seem to seep down his thin neck. Crystalline blue orbs stare out almost unblinking from beneath hairless brows at his surroundings. Inquisitive and calm at all they devour. A permanent upturn of the right side of his mouth offers an ever amused expression on his features - in casual, sly countenance.
His robes are as much for style as comfort and protection - crimson silks and cloths folded upon each other in hip-hugging manners, before splaying out into loose billows about legs to maximize comfort and ease of movement. Black and silver lines the buckles and buttons along his chest - each button pressed into the shape of the head of some infernal creature or another. All unique and distinct.
Demeanor: Alemhok carries a gentle aire of amusement at all times, choosing to delve into the realm of diplomacy and polite conversation. Verbal abrasiveness coming just as able as polite tones, however, if necessary. His primary intent is to increase the public's opinions of the Enclave and Red Wizards as a whole - for it is far easier to catch flies with honey than vinegar. This is something Alemhok adheres to with a fervor bordering tunnel vision.
Nature: Behind the carefully constructed mask of polite diplomatic expertise, lies a mind wrought with conniving plots and plans - as little as which servants to grow favor with to how best to smuggle slaves out of host nations that do not allow such a practice in the open. At any given time the Wizard has a dozen or more plots slowly weaving in a patchwork of lies and half-truths. He is brutal, though knows a gentle touch when necessary.
Background: Born in Bezantur to House Szordrin, Alemhok was raised with the sole purpose of continuing the family's long line of diplomats among the Red Wizards. Early childhood was filled with necessary studies, developing and improving upon his languages and communication studies - with a smattering of history, geography and mathematics. Once he had a genuine grasp upon such mundane studies, he began studying the arcane under the supervision of his aunt - Mala Szordrin.
Many years passed and it became apparent to his aunt after a number of absolutely horrendous muck ups with experimentation, that Alemhok would be better suited under the apprenticeship of another - one more willing to be harsh and strict on him. Throughout his tenure under his aunt, he did show a penchant for eloquence in conversation - often using his sharp wit and charm to weasel himself out of altercations. This skill being reported to his father, and the utter lack of true genius in the arcane, his father decided to send Alemhok to Cormyr to serve in a supplemental fashion. The boy however, was determined to excel in wizardly endeavors, no matter whom believed in him.
Leaving Thay in a caravan destined for Amn, Alemhok traveled with his sister and a hired hand. The trio found little excitement along the road, destined to seek their fortunes and destiny within the Forest kingdom.
Upon reaching the Enclave in Cormyr, the young Szordrin was assigned clerical duties - copying treatises and bills of sale in order to keep record of the legitimate business flowing through the compound. It is during his breaks in this monotonous task that he has begun taking his free time to mingle with the local adventuring populace with a personal goal of improving public opinion of the Red Wizards as a whole. Taking his sister and hired guard along for the rides.
Goals:
* Increase his power among his Thayan brethren and come into his own right - generating a power base and trade contacts.
* Improve the public opinion of the Cormyrians and local adventuring populace, toward Red Wizards and their endeavors within the host kingdom.
* Develop further, his command over the Arcane.
* Delve further into the mysteries of the Shadow Weave.
* Spread House Szordrin's influence throughout the Forest kingdom.
