Overhearing this, a Dwarf with a brown beard that falls to just above his pectoral armor plate lights a pipe and puffs on it thoughtfully before making his way into The Five Fish Inn.

A short letter is sent to the Herald.
Mister Emberlock,
I would offer my talents in healing to be your Master of Mending in this contest. Assuming that the tourney will be held near Immersea, I shall only have conflict later in the evening of Shieldmeet for the Conjuring. Please let me know when you would like me to be present for any interview.

With her latest clippings of herbs nestled in the folds of her robes she spots Waric talking with Bentin. Seeing the large man actually resting those tired feet of his she casually walks nearby to listen, adjusting the herbs as she does so not to bring obvious attention to the fact that she was eavesdropping. What she heard was interesting ... Waric had evidently overheard talk of a Shieldmeet Tourney in Immersea and the contests range from magic to feats of battle to raise money for a Sune Temple. However, how they ended the conversation before Bentin continued his rounds is what perked her slightly pointed ear ...
Bentin: "Yeah, well a lot of folk are gonna sure get hurt in those contests, they think of that?" Waric: "Sure did. There's ta be an assemble of healers ta help with that" Bentin: "Hmmm .. well and good then ... we'll be see'n ya Waric" Waric: "Every few minutes", he finished with a jovial laughter.
... healers she though, as she made her way to the Silvanus Temple to distill her herb to make some fresh salves, a spring in her step and a smile creasing her face, perhaps she'd make the trek to Immersea and offer her assistance as a volunteer ... it was the least she could do as a nature healer of The Green Sister after all ...

The herald watched as the last pair of applicants and the elf departed the tavern. The Thundersword scion and his henchmen had already returned to the villa. As he crossed the common room of the Five Fine Fish he found it quiet and still. That is, if one tuned out the kilted bard and the massive understudy's tambourine.
Now perched on a stool at the end of the bar, he ordered a mug of ale. Sipping the brew, his mind turned through the candidates and the wide walks of life they represented. He thought of vows upheld and broken, an orphan child, a green leaf in spring, a full moon, and the maintenance of a long pony tail.
Only a few more and he'd have to choose.
There's a tear in my beer...
He flipped a silver to the barkeep and made for the door, his mug of ale half-empty and wholly forgotten.
The contest was on.
Hail Cormytes!
If anyone wasn't able to make the interview window today and would like for their character to apply for one of the Shieldmeet Offices, please send me a PM so that we can coordinate a time this week.
