Julia eyes the captain, then bust out in laughter. Now that would be a party, that would live on in infamy. "Aye, our allies bring the music and it's loud..." The Captain allows himself a small smile as he lifts the telescope again and catches the undead Captain's stroking of Licios's cheek, he rolls his eyes "Hells..now what?"

Back on Black Jewel's deck, some manner of agreement appears to have been made, as Licios turns back towards tub and signals Kathy to return him to his ship.
((OOCly, apologies to everyone part of the expedition that I've somewhat highjacked the spotlight here, it's not my intention. Once this situation is over, I will make effort to be less active and let other players do more.

Ahmed would continue to hold steady. Clearly aware of their situation, and most certainly of mind to act without haste. He would draw a breath... those near would be unable to tell if it was one of frustration, consideration, or other. Turning his gaze away from the Black Jewel, he would look upon the crew of the Tub, to make watch of their actions with reserved interest.

When he's returned aboard Tub, Licios turns to immediately address Ahmed. "Well, not exactly as planned, but it appears we have a choice if we wish to avoid battle. Either third of the cargo we gain sacrificed to Bitch Queen. Or I'm to accompany Black Jewel for next couple tendays.
You would avoid loss of profits, but would have to make most of the way to Maztica without a captain, which poses its own risks. As I'm under contract with you to sail this thing there, decision falls to you."
He shrugs "Ofcourse there's no absolute guarantee she'll not demand share of the cargo afterwards anyhow. But then again, nothing is."

Keeping her eyes on the Black Jewel, and her captain. Kathy listens to Licios, as he speaks to Ahmed. His holy symbol still in her hand. She dips her head to Captain Mellkabbar, a smile slowly creeps across her lips. She speaks to the pixie standing on her shoulder. Oh this Captain doesn't know what she's getting herself into Pane. The pixie laughs as they whisper back and forth to each other, exchanging looks between the Black Jewel and Licios.

The Captain continues to walk up and down, staring over at the two ships as he waits for word. The Tethys crew hold fast, all weapons still pointed at the Jewel.

"Take who you need then and be quick about it, if your company pleases the captain of the Black Jewel, then certainly we can afford to dock at Lantan for additional... trade opportunities. I will delay the remainder of our journey for a week, but no more. " Ahmed would then dip his forehead respectfully."Return to us safely captain."

// OOC note:Could all players please PM me how much money they have brought with them for the expedition. There might be things to buy eventually, and in that case we need to know how much money you have. Most of what can be bought will probably be very quest related, and be of little use outside this adventure. If there are other items, they probably won't be transferred in-game unless we get DM support for it (*nudge nudge*). Likewise, the coin you spend on items in this quest won't be lost in-game. We just need to know how much you have with you, so you're not pulling more money out of thin air if you've already bought something expensive. Still, it might be good to RP as if you're actually spending real in-game coin, and take the eventual in-game payment from Ahmed and Valera into account (if money is of concern to your PC). Also... so far, I think this has been awesome. Great RP from everyone involved!

Turning away from Ahmed, Licios still adds. "And before I forget: you'll be having a hostage along, so keep that damn bird intact for all our sakes, will you? Lock it in a trunk somewhere if you need to."
Turning to address Kathy at her question. "There won't be need, I find she's far too hot tempered for something like this. Besides, I'm certain I'll not need another person to keep me safe, Kathy. I'll give you a choice however. You can either stay here and keep eye on that bird, ensuring my well being yourself. Or you may come along, thus trusting both our lives to others here. But if you do, no matter what happens you'll behave yourself. And you may return my amulet to me as well.
Please, transport either me or both of us aboard once you've decided."

Her eyes narrow, but she nods. Her eyes scan across the crew, and settle back on Licios. She takes Licios hand, slipping his holy symbol back to him. She whispers the words to send him back to the Blake Jewel. Turning she looks to Ahmed, without a word she heads to her room.

The air ripples again, and Licios appears on the deck of the Black Jewel.
"And a deal is made, necromancer." Captain Mellkabbar says. "So be it."
Mellkabbar turns to speak to the Tub's crew. "Your captain shall stay with me for a time. I promise to return him safe and sound as long as you keep my parrot, Mister Paparillo, in one piece. Don't bring him ashore or he will crumble to dust, and don't hurt a feather on his skull. He has so few left. He doesn't eat much, and can be a useful lookout. As long as he is with you, I shall easily find you."
She lifts her arm and tosses the parrot into the air. Mister Paparillo flies over to the Tub and lands on Ahmed's shoulder. It's a large, maggot eaten beast of a parrot, with strong skeletal claws. Its wings lack most of the feathers, and the skull has been caved in, leaving it only with one eye. The ribcage has been torn open, now gaping like a maw with pointed teeth. The beak snaps and it squawks. "Ships! Sink sink!"
Captain Mellkabbar continues to speak. "You shall have fair winds for the next tenday or so, and no pirates shall attack you near Lantan and the Nelanther Isles. Like the sea, the curse is cruel, but not without its benefits. Safe voyage, there are far worse horrors of the sea than I. Horrors you cannot reason with, who will not consider your offers." With that, she turns and walks back to the wheel. A cold wind blows from the south, and the Black Jewel silently glides northwards, leaving the two expedition vessels behind...
A few moments later, the wind picks up again, blowing from the northeast, towards Lantan.

Yarrick watches the undead parrot fly over to the tub with a shudder.
"Tis an ill-omen to have such a creature aboard. Glad it be with the Tub and not us."
He then touches his holy symbols for luck and mutters a few silent prayers.

Semport, one of many port towns that dot the coastline of Lantan minor. The town itself looks to be a large mixing pot of folk… primarily humans and gnomes, from sailors, to dealers, to traders, to artisans. It certainly is a site to behold after seeing nothing but ocean for days on end. However upon disembarking from the Tub and Tethys, and reaching the shore via dingy... it becomes very obvious that one cannot see all of Semport in a week's time. At the very most, an adventurer would really only be able to fully take in two of Semport's districts, and that's if they're traveling lightly. ooc: Your character may only visit two of Semport's district. What they find within them might be something of interest, nothing of interest, or something else altogether. THE DISTRICTS The Dock District is the lifeblood of Semport. It is by far the most crowded and the busiest of all the districts. Along the water's edge, are several offices of trading companies,a popular seafood tavern, shipwright businesses, and a mechanical lighthouse that doubles as a guard tower to watch the influx of foreigners into Lantan and the armory warehouses.[OOC: When rping here, use a blue text color]
New Semport is one of the newer districts of the town. It is obvious that the well-to-do merchants make their home here. Aside from fabulous dwellings, boutique shops and cart merchants dot the quaint cobble streets. Eateries and cafes are also found on some corners… although they seem to be more of a place to be seen rather than a place to indulge one's belly.[OOC: When rping here, use a pink text color] Old Semport is mostly composed of modest to poor dwellings. There is a bar, frequented by locals, called The Squeeky Wheel. Not too many outsiders tend to visitthis district. If there is anything to be found of interest, it is likely that only locals would know what and where these interesting things might be.[OOC: When rping here, use a yellow text color] The Palace District is centrally located and is very ornate in nature… certainly there are few places of interest, and everything that is visible is clearly quite expensive just by their very appearance. The area is heavily guarded, lightly populated, and it is clear that access to the palace itself is not possible.[OOC: When rping here, use a purple text color] The Temple District is actually embedded in the cliffside just above Semport itself. Pilgrims and artists dot the trail that leads to a massive temple of Gond.To those not familiar with his creations, it might inspire wonder or fear.[OOC: When rping here, use a green text color]

Yarrick disembarks from the Tethys, strolling through the docks, eventually winding his way towards Old Semport and the Squeaky Wheel, as if by some old sailor's instinct. He spends his time drinking and talking with locals and regulars at the tavern exchanging gossip and listening out for any news.

Kathy walks up to Ahmed as the ship docks. Give me that damn bird. She snatches the bird from his shoulder. Taking it to her room she locks the door. Casting every ward and protection she knows on the door to keep everyone out and the bird in. She turns glaring at the bird. Grabbing up a book she flops on the bed and begins to read. I'm not a damn druid, and now I have to make sure you don't fall to harm. She throws the book against the wall next to the bird. Rolling over on the bed Kathy stares at the wall.

Relieved of the odd bird, Ahmed would have disembarked and made his way to the New Semport district... stopping by a roadside eatery for some tea and biscuits. He would sit with his back to the wall, allowing for a view of the street.
"Mmm... most appropriate."
