Gender: female Age: Between 120 and 130.

Reaching slightly over 5' she is of slender build, balancing distinct, fragility with natural strength. Obviously in great control of her body, her movements are beautiful and precise which gives her a feline-like appeal.

She has a delicate and angular face, with ageless alluring appeal of her kind. The hallmark serene expression of her people, is often broken up with different kind of smiles - from impish and mischievous to smug or cheeky grins. Her eyes are silver-grey with gold flecks and ever watchful, presenting to the world an air unhidden curiosity.

The hair is coppery-red and unruly, which she tries to have in check by keeping it at shoulder-length. She carries it often in braids, sometimes adorned with whatever strikes her fancy. Pointy ears peek out from underneath the mane, marking her to be an elf. But which kind of elf is more difficult to guess. While her hair color could point to her being either of the sun or wood elves, her light-shade skin baring no tinge points to neither. However, when she is in the company of Isiolith Galana, it becomes abundantly clear that she is a wood elf as Isiolith. The resemblance in hair color, and body-types is striking; though neither of women admits to having any known family ties.

During her stay in Cormyr, the open, fun-loving, spontaneous, flirtatious nature has been replaced with a more quiet, withdrawn and careful demeanor. However, her old aura of abundant curiosity, occasional innocence and social awkwardness are still shining through. So is the undercurrent of something exotic, maybe even feral. The withdrawn nature is sometimes replaced with a brooding mood, that is accentuated by nonchalant, and even anti-social behavior. Other days, this can suddenly be contradicted by whimsical lightheartedness and almost child-like urges. At times, the apparent serenity is only broken by her eyes turning from her usual silvery to dark like that of storm-clouds; or by a quick glimmer of the gold flecks in her eyes, that is frequently followed by a happy smile.

Her speech patterns in Common and attitude seem also to be switching, from more open and slang-like to proper. Her voice is a pleasant one, her Common spoken with melodious Elven accent peppered with Damaran intonations.

Ariean and Archery:



((I have based my idea of Ariean's archery on her being from the eastern side of Faerûn (Unapproachable East). Yuirwood is the Easter-most elven outpost. The Rashemi are supposedly slavic-like, there are Tuigan horseman nearby that are kinda like Mongolian, and there is a Shou Exptatriate and the Golden Road nearby. Therefore Ariean's archery is like that used by horseback archers in Mongolia, the Hun (Hungary), Turkish and elsewhere.))



Archery Style: Most often in battle, especially with those she doesn't know that well, she prefers to use her bow. However she no longer stays in the back, but keeps dangeorusly close to melee combatants. She shoots the bow with eastern, instictive aim, thumb-release techniques and appears to be perfectly comfortable to put the arrow on both the inside and outside of the bow. Although this is perfectly suited for rapid fire, she often concentrates at targeting vital parts and organs.

Heartwood bow:Crafted by Entori, the Heartwood bow is elegant and long, it's made of Darkwood, but it is polished to reveal red fibres that continue along the length of the bow, and is polished into a glossy shine. It's hand haft, is made of Ironwood, and is cut so the elegant fingers of the elfess using the bow, move with ease and comfort. Upon the interior of the hand half, the 3 rings of Angharradh are placed, as to always remind the elfess of herself.



Composite Shortbow: An oddity for sure in the hands of an elf, this worn magic bow doesn't have hallmark of any maker. While short in length, this composite decurved bow with reversed-twisted string is a formidable weapon.


Warden's Bow: These bows are crafted by the skilled hands of the elven archer. It's craftsmanship is unmatched by any other. The Warden's Bow has specially been crafted for battle agains tht Enemies of The People.



Ariean's Thumb-Ring: an archery tumb-ring made of polished brown jade, that she wears on her right hand. She uses the ring for drawing and releasing the bow string, instead of the more traditional two-finger technique.

Ariean and Melee:






Melee Style: While Ariean's archery is usually performed with quiet and detached focus, her melee is that of fierce and feisty excitement. Her combat style is more reminiscent of a dance of strike-and-dodge with a lot of acrobatic elements like flick-flacs, jumps and doing cartwheels. However, when she uses her shield, the acrobatic elements are kept to a bare minimum.



Main-hand weapon: Winter's Breath



Crafted by Entori, this blade looks anything but like the delicate weapons associated with dueling and sport-fighting, but as the deadly weapon they become in skilled hands. Looking more like a sword this really is a rapier. Quite similar in appearance to Ariean's previous rapier, it differs by higher quality, but less fanciful swept hilt.


Off-hand weapon: Blade of Flaming Deceit

Flames seem to cloak this blade and give off an intense heat to any who draw near. They also mask the length of the blade.

Off-hand weapon: Tenebrous/The Blade of Eternal Night

Black as night, the sword looks to be covered in and leaking shadows.

Other than also being of minor enhancement, there seems to be nothing special about that blade.

Shield:



Large shield of elven design.

Other Items:


Adventuring Gear: While ready, or waiting for adventure Ariean can be seen in simple, botty fitting clothing in browns and grays. Calling it lovingly for "drab", Ariean claims it's very practical; To that she adds knee-high boots, hood, gloves with cut-off fingers, a bag and pouches with eclectic collection of knick-knacks and dee dads.

Archery Bracer:


Ariean keeps this bracer on to save her arm from the stripe of string. It also keeps the string gliding sharply and quickly across her arm, thereby making a sharper shot.

Left Bicep Guard:

Doubling as a piece of jewelry, this in reality is a small piece of arm armor, protecting her left bicep when she isn't using the shield.


Left Hand Gaurd:

Often, on her left hand fingers she wears silver-leaf claw armor-like jewelry. Except for being pretty, she can use it to slash her opponents when seemingly unarmed.

Ring of the Alley Cat:

On her right hand, except for the archery thumb-ring, she wears a bronze ring with cat ears on it...

Elven Band:


.... and a rather simple but distinctly elven silver band

Earring:


In her left ear (which she often touches or fidgets with) is a mithril and electum braided earring.

Pendants:


Ever present on her person are two silvery amulets; one of a downward pointing tirangle with three interconnecting rings in it, and the other of a crescent moon.


Brooch:



A simple-looking golden brooch.

Guitar of Doom:



Gifted by Frubo to the "pretty elfess and the pretty elf for Quenching the Doom of Doom", this guitar has certainly seen better days. Battered and scraped, having been through much, today the guitar is clean, polished, and treated with love. Even if it isn't used for playing beautiful music. Frubo seems to not remember owning, or even parting with this guitar.


Painting:



This painting is a treasured gift.


Strange weapon:

It's long and covered in black fur. The end is covered in a horny-ridged pad.

Ariean's Special Souvernir Box

A hand-crafted box made from sweetly scented cedar wood. Each panel is hand cut and assembled with a grove and tongue pattern. The sides are decorated with images of forest creatures embossed in raised reliefs. While in the center of the smooth lid the image of a great cedar tree is carved with meticulous attention to detail. The inside of the box is lined with a soft nut-brown velvet. Every token or treasured memento can lie securely cushioned from the rough and tumble adventuring life.
