Word goes out from booksellers and dealers in sundries that the Valkur's Roar Archives are seeking history texts, or any books dealing with the history of Redmist either before or during the period between The Blood War and the end of The Bloodstill Rebellion.
The reaction from typical peasants to this is mixed: some value history and would like to have it available to teach the young, while others want that bloody time in their city's life erased and forgotten.
Some unscrupulous opportunists have attempted to write fake histories and sell them to the archives, but so far none appear to have succeeded.
A 100 gp bounty is offered by the Archives for authentic texts from the period, including payroll accounts, judicial proceedings, daily logs from various official posts, and other verifiable official records of the time period.
Scholarly works covering the time period are also sought, with a 'fair price' to be negotiated.

An old woman dressed in a plain white robe fastened by a simple red cord slowly makes her way to the Archives. With effort she wobblingly sets down a battered journal on the table.
"Oh my thanks, don't remember that book being quite so heavy. When did parchment turn to lead" She pauses for a moment.
"A bit of the history that you are looking for I think. A small part maybe. Anyways it is yours to look at and no I don't want your coin. My word what would I do with it anyway. I would like the journal back once your done if I may. Old memories and not always pleasant ones but still mine. I will have my daughter check in on you in a few days time to see if your done with the book".
With that she slowly shuffles off.
