(I just dug this up the other day, thought I might as well post it here. I'll add some updates soon I think)
The thoughts of his home drifted in and out of his head as he lay across his bed at the Silver Wink Inn in Waymoot. Sadly, Illios couldn’t remember much of his old home. Well, Illios couldn’t remember much at all before he was thrown out as young teenager. There wasn’t a single person that he’d met near his home in the Western Heartlands that didn’t outcast him because of his special talents. His own parents called him a fiend and would have nothing to do with him, at least, when they found out what he could do.
Illios never stopped thinking about his home and what happened. He vowed that he would prove his powers were not a curse or a hand of evil controlling him, but rather a gift… a gift which allowed him to do great things and not simply things for himself, but for whoever he felt deserved them.
It wasn’t until his trip east to Cormyr that he ran into a strong man named Sethus Arnave when he finally found a true friend. Sethus gladly joined Illios to continue with him in his journey east. Sethus always seemed torn between saving others from their own burdens and telling them how they could have avoided such a burden in the first place. Either way, Sethus and Illios worked well together, and the better they got to know each other, the easier their travelling became.
As he continued to lay on the comfortable bed that night after consuming perhaps a bit too much of the saspiralla that was sold in the tavern below, Illios’ mind began to wander from thoughts of his home to his first adventurers in Cormyr and to the first people who really left a footprint on his mind.
Illios had always thought she had a fun personality, especially for a *dawnbringer*. She had blonde hair and fair skin, and Annie always seemed happy to see him. The first adventure they went on was into the catacombs of Isinhold with Sethus, Alaria, and… Grimrod. Everything on the trip went well, and after they gathered in the Regal Griffon Inn for a drink. The whole party became a group of friends.
