Peebo is from a small community in northern Luiren, near the borders of the forest were the ghostwise dwell. His mother stayed at home and watched over the kids and raised them. Her prized garden bore the fruit for jams and in turn was the main source of income. See in Luiren they don't use coin like most other folks, they use a barter system. So her well loved jam was traded for flour, spices and what not. But she didn't raise Peebo on her own , she had help from Peebo's father, a high ranking March warden. Most Hin have a nomadic nature and mentality. So they pick up there things and leave there homes still furnished In search of a new place to live. They just find one un-occupied and move in. That was the life for most Hin. But there were Hin that didn't follow there hearts out of Duty to the church. You see March wardens were commanded by the True Swords of Avareen's church. They strategically placed March Wardens around Lurian , and this area, usually a few miles in radius, was called there Marches, Hence the name. Well this was Peebo's fathers March and he stayed here, and in turn were Peebo stayed.
Years passed and Peebo became a man, and how his parents were proud. As a child his father would take him out camping and teach him how to track and be aware of his environment. This training was all apart of Peebo's fathers dream, a dream that would drive them apart. You see peebo didn't want anything to do with the March Wardens , or to be locked down in any one place. He wanted to roam free like the other hin, He loved Avareen, his church and his people, but not to be told were to reside without a saying in the matter.
So one day he was sent to go get some things from the bazzar in a southern city on the coast. When he arrived the city was bustling with activity. He noticed a wagon with the crest of Cormyr. He went to the caravan master and asked for a job, the caravan master laughed and asked if he knew how to cook and he replied yup! So he finished up at the bazaar and had the supplies shipped to his parents. The next morning they were off.
For weeks they traveled, encountered new people, places and sights. Only a few minor encounters with highway men. Although having a Purple Dragon knight with them helped very much so. It never struck Peebo odd that a knight of the crown was on a merchant's caravan until one day. They arrived at a town in the Dalelands named Daggerdale. That was the only time that the Knight left the caravan and didn't return until much later that night. Peebo watched the Knight approach with a Item in his hand, maybe a scroll, he walked to the caravan master and with a nod they turned into there respective carts.
A week later they arrived at Cormyr's boarders. They stopped at a way point in the road and set up camp. That night Peebo was awoken by the sounds of battle. He looked out the back of the wagon he was in and watched in horror as he heard the Knight curse these men as zhent scum and engaged three large men in black armor. With the skill of a hardened Vet he fell two of the three before there was a hiss and a arrow caught him in the neck, shot from the darkness, and then ran though with the armored man's sword. At that moment Peebo was startled as a bloodied hand grasped his shoulder, it was the badly wounded Caravan Master. He handed Peebo a Silver tube and a large leather pouch. With it he told peebo to get these papers to Suzail and to the Purple Dragons or War Wizards. They contain the names of Zhent spies in her borders, when you see them say "I server the Crown" and they will take you to a warwizard then repeat these words, he got that last word out and the rest was a gurgling mess of incoherent garble as three arrows protruded from his chest and the only thing Peebo could make out is "Fool" and "Run".
So out the other side of the wagon Peebo went, Moving as quietly as he could, though it wasn't that hard with the fighting going on. When he reached the wood line he turned to watch the dark figures finish the rest of the guards and merchants and light the wagons to flame. He said a prayer to his god Avoreen, the halfling god of Protection and Duty, and ran with all he could muster.
It seemed like days, and he was getting so very tired. He followed the mountain and the woods to the south in hope of finding a large city, It could be what he is looking for, but then again he has no knowledge of these lands. After a day and a half he finally found a road. There was a town up ahead and a that was the last thing he seen before the world turned black.
He did not know how long he was out but when he woke he was in a warm bed and there was a smiling human next to him. He tried to talk but couldn't muster the strength. She told him dint try to talk your in a safe place. The world went black. When he next awoke he found himself feeling much better but there was no lady, he got up and looked around. This was a apothecary of some sort and he noticed the hanging drying herbs meant for healing ingredients. In a closet he found his clothing and backpack, along with the Tube and leather pouch, he oped the pouch which reveled gold but looked at the tube and said to himself "I don't even want to know" As he headed to the door he stopped to write a note of thanks and left ten gold coins, Then into the morning sun he walked....
