History: (long)
---------------
This story begins early on the Night's Eye of the 2nd ten-day in winters deep of 1262, where a new life was brought into the world. In the grand ceremony of birth, she was named Ly'Sylria of the Daehu'mil bloodline, and already from her birth, the union of a sun elf and a moon elf was evident upon her, as she has been blessed with the beauty of her moon elven mother, and the intelligence of her sun elven father.
Ly'Sylria's upbringing was as all elves in the first 80 years, she played and she laughed with all her friends, of which she had many in her early youth. Through her youth she got herself a nickname also, but only to her closest of friends, they called her Lysyl.
As her body and mind matured, and she came closer and closer to adulthood, she became more and more restless.
Her father and mother always tried to guide her through her life, but they soon realized that her view upon the world was very different from theirs, and therefore she neither wanted to travel the path of the wizard nor that of the cleric. But to make the story a little interesting, allow me to jump a little bit.
Tis was a day in the early summers run, the year of 1344, that she was on a little trip into the forest, a trip she has done so many times before, but this day it seems a bit different, almost as if something was pulling her or guiding her steps through the forest wilderness, she could do nothing else than to follow her body, watching as she was drawn to a specific place in the forest, a place that was known to only a few as harmony grove.
Suddenly, and utterly lost within the green realms of the forest, she stood in a wonderful cleaning within these woods, looking around her, many animals stood and watched her with curiosity in a circle around the entire grove, there were many different animals, from jaguars to horses, two which should be prey, but they stood besides each other with no fear nor doubt in their eyes.
After some time, hard to say how long, a figure appeared out from the ranks of animals, which parted without a word spoken or a gesture made, he walked directly towards her. He was clad in a dark brown robe, with his hood up covering his head and darkened his face so it was impossible to see what race he was.
He walked towards her, very slow and very careful, almost the way you would react towards a frightened animal. She took a few steps backwards, without even thinking about it, until she could see that she bumped into something. She turned to see what it was, only to find out that she stood almost face to face, with a very large black bear, looking down upon her.
She almost jumped in surprise as she felt a hand upon her shoulder, she slowly turned to face the man in the robe, and to her relief she discovered a aged wood elf standing in front of her, just a little bit taller, but far from as menacing as before.
He smiled softly to her, and she felt her heart stop it's racing slowly. He spoke with a soft voice, that almost sounded like a faint song carried over the wind, "What are you doing here my child ?", he looked upon her as she answered with a trembling voice, "I...I do not know sir...I was just wandering these woods, and found myself here without even realizing it", she broke his gaze, and look down upon the grass, as one of his fingers came under her chin and made her look him in his eyes again.
She gazed into his deep green orbs, that lacked a clear iris, and for a moment, she was completely lost within the depths of his eyes, but the enchantment was broken as he spoke again, "There is no reason to be afraid my child. Come follow me, and I will tell you a bit of where you are, if you tell me more about how to came to be here.", he smiled and extended his hand, and before she even thought about it, she took it and followed him out among the trees, disappearing deeper into the green and lust forest.
After that time, a lot in her life changed, she began coming back to the grove day after day for a long time, there isn’t much worth mentioning in those days, other that she was happy and without many worries.
Her parents where not too happy about her studying under the old wood elf, because they would rather see that they studied either wizardry or devoted herself more directly in the services of her god that she had chosen, the only one that supported her completely was her sister, and she was the pillar of support that Lysyl needed through the teaching of the wood elf.
One day, while she was meditating in the grove, upon her latest lesson, she head a deep growl, not that far from behind her, she turned slowly only to see a big wolf moving slowly towards her, its ears back on its head, and its teeth bared. The big wolf, was as dark as the night’s sky, but somehow its eyes where almost glowing with a golden hue.
The growling grew in intensity as it walked slowly closer and closer upon her frail form, she gasped softly, as the fear slowly tried to overpower her senses, but she shakes her head softly, and forced the fear back into hiding, and she suddenly looked up upon the wolf, without fear, and talked to talk softly and with confidence as she has been taught by her mentor.
After a few moments, she had calmed the wolf, and she took a big risk and tried to pet the enraged wolf, and strangely enough it responded rather well. The wolf stops growling and it just starts to look curiously at Lysyl, and starts to slowly lick her hand, and only moments after, the wolf sat beside her, as she patted it softly, ruffling its fur a little bit.
This moment was interrupted as the old wood elf, came up behind her and smiles softly to her, “Ah”, he said, “I see you have met Laria’mal”, he chuckles softly, “I was hoping that you two would become friends, and I knew you would be skilled enough now to gain his trust.”, he smiled.
She looks up upon him and asked softly, “So this all was been a test”, he chuckled and said, “Not all only a test, but also a reward for all your hard work.” he smiles softly and left again. She looked a little after him, and smiled to Laria’mal, petting his head, “Laria’mal”, she tryingly said, “I think we are going to become very good friends.” she said softly.
After encounter it did not take long, before she was ready to become a full member of the grove, and it wasn’t long at all, before she sent out invitations to her family to join her in her initiation.
The initiation went very well, and all from her family was present at the clearing in the woods near Strangle Trees, after some encouraging words and a few presents, they went back home.
All went well, until one night, where she had been restless all day, even Laria’mal had felt it, that night during her meditation, came to her, the image of a large wolf, bigger than what she had seen so far. It sniffed the air, almost as if it knew she was there, and even in her meditation, her heart leapt as the big beast turn in an instant and sprang towards her fangs bared. The experience startled her out of her meditation and she almost sprang to her feet, but Laria'mal was there and a few nudges from him, made her heart calm down enough, that she dared to hit down..
Confused and worried, she decided against common sense to not tell her mentor about this meditation, for as disturbing as it has been, there was something unnatural about that beast that almost seemed to call to her.
It was in that night that she decided that she had to leave the grove, she had to travel away, see if she could find a meaning with what she had felt, see if she could find why, she had been drawn towards that monstrous beast..
And so, a new chapter of her life begins.
